Daily Tournaments: Separation of the Standard and Extended formats
Boing - Moderator - Clint StaffEnglish - Monday 01/10/2012, 11:37

As well as the rotation of the Standard format, we are pleased to announce that the separation of the Standard and Extended formats in the Daily Tournaments has been achieved!

See below for further details of what this change involves:

- The two tournaments will be separated in your history according to their deck format. You can find your tournament history at the following address: /game/tournaments/history/

- A lottery for players ranked in the first 150 in a daily tournament will now be held for each of the two formats (Standard DT and Extended DT). Each tournament format will have its own prize of 5 CRs that will be distributed according to current lottery game rules. 10 CRs will therefore be distributed every day.

- There will also be a jackpot for each tournament.

- However, for technical reasons the two tournaments will take place at the same time (at even hours of the day)
Happy gaming to you all!

Yeah, the format needs a tad more tweaking (Leaders are an issue, for instance), but is getting there.

It's not awesome till a extended 25 tourney or elo tourney is re-implemented. I say re-implemented because we already had those features in the past (like a few years ago).

All right, finally an incentive to play standard!

i see standard as a more challenging mode, with less deck-building options... actually, a lot of clans have so few good standard cards that the only viable choice is half-decking. that's why most people naturally turned to extended format, which is more enjoyable because: 1) there is more variety in the type of decks you face, and 2) you can actually use all the cards in your favorite clan(s).

but now, with two shots at the Cr lottery i'm sure a lot of people will be playing both modes. nice move, UR!

p.s. why hasn't the list of penalized characters been updated yet? i'm sick of seeing cards like Uranus, Avola and Sylth, who deserve penalties much more than some other cards already on there... i mean, Kerry, Slyde, Ulrich? come on!

I dont like the fact that collectors are not really collectors, they are card that are printed in lesser quantities, but still printed actively. Now 10 copies per day.

CR's are the gold standard of this game - and their value should be uncompromised.
