If the character loses the round, the damage inflicted by the winning character to the owner of the losing character will be reduced by X points or to a minimum of Y. If the total number of damage points of the winning character is equal to or below Y, the ability has no effect.
So, for example Sigmund, when will he reduce 5 og the winning character's damage? only when the character has more than 5 in damage?

He will reduce the total damage (including extra damage of Fury, abilities and/or clanbonus) to the given minimum.
