The Slot Machine : Winners and Losers!! Dr Lecter - Legend - E X C A L I B U R - Tuesday 20/09/2011, 12:41
Shall we open a thread dedicated exclusively for posting the big winnings and losses we all had and still have, and will always have; with this infernal machine?
Big winners, please post here with a screenshot hosted in tinypic or elsewhere (no, tinypic is not paying me anything. )
Also please post useable statistics regarding what you think is the investment:return ratio and the probability of each of the objects appearing in each column (that is for advanced statisticians).
Let's have a go and see whether there is any point in playing it, or we can gather enough information and then approach the developers with improvement ideas. Thank you all.
My trick is pick the top one spin 3 times then go to the next if you win dont spin again i buy 50 tickets and ended up with 2100 clints so a little over 1200 profit
Today, I lost 250 only because I am learning not to trust anything to luck entirely. Now that I got the hang of it, I understand that this 'Slot machine' is just an enormous 'clintz sink' that will get us rid of those small small amounts of clintz you or me won't notice going out our hands, but put together, makes such an enormous amount and keeps UR economy running smoothly.
True, unless you count those tickets that were acquired through missions, which is probably more than half the total number of tickets put into the slot machine.
Nice job deriving a ratio Merl. Here's some data for you
From 8100 tkts to 8000 tkts I gained...
1035 clintz
Lil clarification: The reason I sat 8100 to 8000 instead of 100 tickets used is because you tend to win a few tickets, so the number of tkts is more accurately 110+
Maybe this thread can be continued to be used as a data pool for the slots?.
Thanks masterful. In fact, as more work is done on the ration, I can now confirm it as 5:3.75 with a standard deviation of 0.25.
So it pretty much favours the house while not making the player who is dumb enough to play it, overtly silly :=D
