I would like a mode where I could try out new decks and modifications to my deck. The problem is that I don't want to Tank my Elo score. Could we get a mode where we get 14 life?

There used to be an elo training room that nobody ever used... they got rid of it.
ask your guild Leader to set your guild's training room for elo and try them out there or create an event.

There are some ˝events˝ with 14 hp rooms and banned cards can´t be used.

So long ago, it used to be a "training room" for Elo. Very useful
