Baldovino or Grudj?

Which character do you think is better? Baldovino or Grudj? Baldovino has 8 power, 6 damage, an ability of minus 2 of the opponent's pillz, minimum 3 and is 5 stars. :-d Grudj has 8 power, 4 damage, an ability of plus 2 pillz and is 4 stars. However, Grudj has a mission. :-d Both characters are from the same clan, the Freaks, with a bonus of poison 2 minimum 3. :-d They've the same power, same bonus, and similar abilities, but one has a mission, lower damage and is less stars, the other has more stars, higher damage no missions. ^__^ So, again, which is better?

It's hard to compare two different star counts, but Grudj. Five star counts really restrict you in ELO play. Plus pill gain is always better then pill removal. Mainly because pill removal always has a minimum attached to it.

'Plus pill gain is always better then pill removal. Mainly because pill removal always has a minimum attached to it.'

I disagree. If you have pill removal then by pilling perfectly you can put your opponent at a strong disadvantage and if you pill perfectly with a + pill card you will be at an advantage but not as great. For example if you 7 pill Boldavino against a 7 pilled Tsuabme you will have 5 pills while your opponent has 3, meaning you have 60% more pills and can afford to pill 2 against a card with no pills and still be at an advantage. While if you did the same thing with Grudj you would have 40% more pills and if the opponent has 5 pills he is still able to bluff and beat you. That's just in general however you need to take in the fact that you will have poison and more pills in play. If you can afford to pill 2 extra at any round without being disadvantaged, with a poison taking damage every turn on top of your base damage inflicted on the first turn you are at a high advantage.

It can be argued that - pill cards are only really usable on the first two turns but that isn't true. Unless your opponent for some reason pilled 9 in the first two rounds (you win automatically) then you will still be able to use his ability and with - pill cards some people feel the need to waste heaps of pills to be under the pill reduction limit which helps you win anyway.

Baldovino is better but depending on the rest of your deck the extra star could affect you greatly.

Baldovino is better because his solid base stats and ability make him a card that's not hindered by SoB. However, Grudj is a great card as well, and takes up less room. If you can spare the space in your deck, sometimes it's nice to have both.

Grudj ...

I think Grudj is better (just) because + pillz can work at anytime and isn't effected by the amount of pillz your opponent has. - pillz doesn't work if the minimums already been reached.

But most of the time you can have both Grudj and Baldovino so its fine :)

Grudj simply because of the star other reason other than Grudj makes more room for other (better) 5* from other clans

So use Grudj for elo and use Baldovino for type 2?

Thursday 06/12/2012, 15:07

LOL if you are in type 2 of course Baldovino essentially 2 more damage.... but elo really depends on your deck type. however tho, type 2 doesnt really need Freaks poison isnt really lethal for 12 health.

For elo, Baldovino is great but limits your star count a bit more, plus being a poison clan damage isnt entirely essential so Grudj does the job just as well for 1 less star, and personally Freaks do best when they dont have a 5* in their
