And I just completed the third mission today, using some advice that a couple people gave me. Probably the best place to accomplish the pill reducer mission is in the single player missions (I forgot about them!) which do count. Every game I played gave me one to three pill reductions, allowing me to work steadily on the mission. As an added bonus, when you win a single-player match you get THAT reward too.
