Hey guys. So I haven't played in a tourney for years, and wanna get back into it. I literally know nothing about the meta. I only have the arcade LD cards for season 1 and 2, and I have most of the regular LD cards. My goal is to play type 1. What clans are the best for someone just doing well n tourney mode? Other then what my current collection have, I'd like to spend less than 500k.

The popular clans from what I see are Piranas, Sentinel, Rescue. Uppers, Huracan, Raptors. (I can count a good number who use them)
For Piranas, they are popular for Pillz manipulation. If you have Hawkins Cr in particular, you should have an advantage for T1.
Sentinel have some good choices for attack manipulation. Statam is even a promising choice for your deck.
Rescue is used for a similar reason to Sentinel, or Uppers.
Junkz manipulate attack and Pillz.
For Raptors, I see players use Mono-Raptors in the face of attack modifiers, but also similar to Piranas as an advantage over the attack manipulating clans that are still popular in Tourney. (They are not match winners, but they do well to win 3 rounds in Tourney, which are ideal to score points)
Sakrohm is not in the list since a good number of cards you probably want to add are banned in Tourney.
I do use GHEIST (Since there is an OP mission, but not exactly recommended if Hoffman or XU-Dr0ne aren't in your team).
I will leave the answer before going to detail, but are able to use any sort of attack modifier clan/Raptors or Piranas?
T1 focuses on winning the rounds and I given you have around 70% of the collection, you are not in real need to spend any Clintz in my opinion.

(Statam being allowed in tourney seems insane). Raptors are most of what I have, given I spent a decent amount for raptors for EFC just a couple weeks ago, and I'm most comfortable with them. What would you suggest as a base build, given I don't have that one raptors LD with attack manipulation?

Cobine any attack manipulation clan with Frozn and you'll get at least in top 10 every time.

I can't remember who got banned of the top of my head, but I will name some noteworthy ones.
It should be Mono-Raptors in my opinion though.
'
Hector (He manipulates attack but compared to St4rve Ld, you don't need to worry about what your opponent uses. (Though not my best recommendation)
Chopper Ld (Solid power to help)
Shaker Ld (Sold base power)
Kruger (because of -2 Power, Min 4)
Mim (you are pretty lucky if your enemy is an attack manipulator one).
Rocket (10 Power for fighting Bangers)
Clarice (Solid stats for a 4 Star and in case your opponent happens to be a Power Reducer)
Wilkinson (Popular because of his base stats)
Poncho (If played well, you have a good power reducer. Watch out for Dudley Ld or Travis Ld if they appear though. If you don't have him, don't consider adding)
Walkie (Potential 9/7 I would recommend)
Quinzel (The staff have in the past kept an eye for her ban given her ability for Raptors in Tourney and solid stats. (I don't know if she's banned or not. If not you could use her)
Try not to add 5 Stars if you can or T1. Unless Rex Sweig is not banned, I would recommend him for T1 because of SOA.

Thank you so much sir. I'm pretty sure I just have to buy wilkinson. But I'll try it out when I have the time (probably later on next week).

With what Court of Owls said, I wouldn't stick to 1 deck though. You will need at least 3 types of decks.
You also need a Pilling Style that works for you to win rounds. One thing about Tourney is top players tend to also use decks that make it easy to win 3/4 rounds or do 2HKO, the latter being rare in T1 as 1 of the criterion for points are rounds.

I haven't played a Tourney in a couple months, but I racked up some wings this summer with a 22* mono-Montana deck. Not a great choice against Raptors decks, but I didn't really run into many of those.

It also depends on the hour too.
These days (including myself) I notice it can sometimes be hard to find the time to play a Tourney, hence the lower than 100 players sometimes.
I see Piranas heavy hours, Bangers heavy hours. Raptors heavy hours, Uppers heavy hours sometimes. It’s tough sometimes.
