I'm currently running a Montana deck which is based around hitting 8 damage with Don or Valter Bianco, then picking the 4 damage off however I can. It's been really fun to play and quite successful in T1.
The deck is:
***** Don (8 damage)
***** Valter Bianco (8 damage)
*** Gianfranco (a 7/4 with protected bonus
*** Mona (6/4 with -2 opponent damage - a strong candidate to follow up 8 damage)
*** Bella LD (a 6/4 with cancel opponents power and damage modifier - allows her to hit her 4 damage with regularity)
** Icaro (7/2 with -1 life win or lose allows it to set up 3 damage cards like Carmine or Homy)
** Homy (6/3 damage exchange)
** Carmine (6/3 with -3 min 3 damage reduction)
Am I missing anything obvious with Montana here? I was thinking Ricardo for Carmine for the guaranteed -3 damage rather than growth? Budget isn't an issue, I've got the full set, I just want to know if I can improve this deck anywhere, thanks!
I'm a Montana for T1 and Tourneys.
Can anyone give feed back on my deck?
Avola, Dr. Elisa, Iris Morana, Figaro, Icaro, Ottavia, Carmine, Waller
I've been pretty successful with this deck in tourneys. Ranking usually 20th and higher. But I'm having troubles in EFC when I reach Danger zone or EFC tower.
In my opinion, I think is mainly because of all the SOA deck in that bracket. My deck mainly uses Dr.Elisa, waller and Icaro to bluff and at the same time chip out some hp for Avola/Iris morana to dish out the winning blows. But against an SOA deck that doesn't work and I have to use different means of winning and its really hard for me (I don't know why).
BUT my opinion could be wrong. Can you guys give me a hint if I should change to a half deck? Or completely stray away from montana on EFC in higher bracket? If so, any suggested clan/decks?
