Can someone help clear something up regarding Leader cards that I can't seem to find an answer on?

It says that leaders help the rest of their team in a fight. How? Am I right in thinking they do nothing until they get to level 5 (or whenever their ability is) and thats when they'll gain something to help their team-mates? I do get the part about 2 leaders cancelling the other out, but don't have 2 leaders. Just wanted it confirmed.

If u have two or more leaders playing the same fight their bonus (cancel leader) switch on. "cancel leader" cancel the ability of the leader, like "there's only one leader" ;D
before level 5 they don't have ability so they're like a normal card.
the ability of the leader is to help all the team for example: hugo has the ability team 6 attack. if hugo (level 5) is in your team all of the party's members get 6 attack.

Funny that Hugo is my only leader. I get the idea of the ability now. So to clarify, if I had 2 leaders in the same fight then BOTH would lose their abilites, regardless if one was lvl 5 and one wasn't.

Is there somewhere a list with all the abilities (bonuses) of the fully evolved leaders? I've the Clints to buy one, but I don't know which one.
