Personnaly i dont have alot of Clintz. This means that i genrally have to play Elo to survive, because i cant win against High-powered elo banned cards, and cant afford them to use for myself.
My main problem now though is piranas. I personnaly liked playing attack manipulating decks such as Uppers and All Stars because i could get a strong deck for only 8000 clints or less. But now it seems like half of the people i play have pirana decks! Their ability is devastating! Imo it destroys Montana, Uppers most All Star, Sakrohm, Bangers and Ulu-Watu and Rescue. Junks and Sentinel are hindered drastically too! No healing for Jungo, no poisen for Freaks! Fang Pi Clang and La Junta can say goodbye to their damage bonus. Roots and GHIEST loose there stop ability and Vortex and Pussy Cats have no bonus to fall back on when they die.
THATS ALL THE CLANS?!?!
This would be understandable if Piranas characters wernt so powerful themselves, and sure they have very few 8 power BUT!!! They have pill manipulation!! Pill manipulation is a super-strong but risky form of attack manipulation. Hawkins Noel (2 star) 7 power with +2 pillz, provided you win is like +14 attack?!! And Scrubb in a mono deck is like +24 attack?!?!?!??!?!?!?
DOES THIS CLAN HAVE ANY WEAKNESS? If they do please let me know, if someone can suggest a deck to counter them for under 10k clintz I would be very gratefull. Thanks for reading
Skeelz are just ripping through Piranas in the ELO modes: Sasha, Sandro, Corvus, Chiara, Danae, Belgosi and even Cley are good choices. Put in Dwan and Redra for DR and all you really need to do is pay attention not to die to Kristin.
And for Type2 Deathmatches you can just basically grab 8 cards with high power and SoA to take em out.
Better fear the Nightmare instead of the Pirahnas. And use it against that clan. I'll tell you why:
Even Nightmare's 2-star cards (where Nightmare is famous) could beat those pesky Pirahna cards like Eadh and Mawpin; Phyllis, and Sheitane are also great cards that could turn around bad situations.
Not to mention those card killers like Azgroth, Ghumbo (which is not banned as of today), Sargh, Erzsebet(which is very rare as of today) that could kill those Pirahna cards. Deiter (a very staple Nightmare card) and Glorg could prevent cards from using abilities (where Pirahna dominates), but low power.
Need life manipulation? Nightmare is one of the clans who is famous in that genre. Play Kenny? 9 life difference without fury. Hel? low-powered, but still useful. Pan? use him. 6 life difference and just only 3*.
SOB to SOB? junk.
Azel? One of the best poison in the whole game. 7 powered, 4 damage, 3 min. 3 could make your opponent realize he shouldn't let this card win cause he will be definitely ripped off.
I am also a fan of Pirahna, and a fan of Raeth, but I don't see any cards that manipulates battle. I only see cards that need to be pilled with extra 2 or 3 to win a battle.
15 life open opportunity for jungo and freaks to shine. sob ruined them badly.
elo has always been dominated by attack manipulation clan, montana, sentinel and rescue, sob destroys them too.
lastly, soa clan can say bye bye to sob.
but i do agree, nightmare is way more powerful then piranas
For Skeelz, let's see...
Jessica (200), Liam (200), Sandro (300), Drake (300), Aigwon (400), Danae (450), Clay (500), and Greem (2000), make a passable SKeelz deck that snickers at most Pirate decks. Not bad for under 5K... Heck, Greem is half of the cost of your deck by herself!
Piranas have low damage and they have a lot of pressure to win 3. They are probably going to lose if they only win 2 against heavy hitters. Their best characters are among the best in ELO, especially 2*, but then their characters fall of dramatically after the best 8-9 so with some weekly bans they become uncompetitive. Compare to Nightmare who go character for character and then have 5 or 6 other characters after that which are viable in ELO. So in terms of depth they fall short of Nightmare by alot. There are about 6 characters that are in every Piranas deck so they are predictable in that sense.
STRENGTHS: Pill manipulation is incredibly powerful, pressures the opponent which can force mistakes. 3 things can happen, which are all good: If you pill perfectly (just enough to beat your opponent), then you basically have won the match- you have pill advantage which means you're guaranteed to win at least 1 more round, maybe more. If you overpill by a little bit, the extra pills helps you recover. If you bluff, the threat of pill manipulation will force your opponent to overpill. It's one of the best abilities for good reason.
Smokey (non ELO)
Are the staples.
Tula is an assassin but not as good as before because so many of the characters she wrecks are ELO banned.
Tyd is the strong man although he is weak against some characters like Skeelz.
The other playables:
After this the power declines.
