I come back and see that Toro/Rolph/Arkn/Dolly are all permabanned. Make a GEIST deck and immediately play against Marina/Jessie/Karen/Stacey.
Not only were All Starsalways the hardest counter to GHEIST, but now apparently every GEIST staple is banned, while it is ok fir All stars to rampage through ELO like they always did. It seems 7/8 power is a staple now, meanwhile GEIST are left with a bunch of 6/7 powers with no attack/power manip.
This is just stupid. Then I wanted to buy a pack of FB and apparently I need 50 credits now instead of 20 :O
IMO I don't blame him for his claims. I am a bit nostalgic myself, of the good ol' days in elo.
But you are right, it is somewhat ignorant to come and post bold claims with little evidence to back it up regardless of whether he is a new player or old.
As for my reply to the OP,
GHEIST has been picked a part for the last couple of years in elo. If you think what the banning system has done with GHEIST is bad, you should look at roots. All SOA as a bonus has been deemed OP by the majority of players and as a result picked apart to the point where those two clans may seem a poor choice to use in elo. UR has introduced many counters to the abundance of SOA with stop: cards as well as the backlash ability. And along goes the cycle of rock paper scissors of what trumps what in elo.
You are just unlucky Saandro, while you had to face Allstars with Karen . Imagine you are facing a common Upper deck with Kazayan, Nellie, Oxen and Rubie may make you feel better .
However, I don't think GHEIST and Roots, despite the ban, have more limited choices compared with other clans, as Anderson said. We can use Allstars for example, they still do not have cards that can replace Mirana and Saki while they are banned, the findest replacement for Mirana maybe Quinn, but he still is far from her level. While for the Roots and GHEIST, their cards are nearly at the same level, like Tuck vs Gretchen, Methane vs Hriger.
