Halloween has come and gone. Aside from a few scuffles, Clint City has been relatively peaceful... That is, until a cache of very unusual candy, crafted by none other than the sinister Candy Jack, is discovered! A rumor spreads that the power from this batch of candy exceeds even Morphun's pillz, and so, the underdogs of Clint City rush to claim as much as they can in a sudden bid for power!
The Coliseum Candy Wars will start on November, the 12th at 2 pm (EST 8:00) and will end on November, the 16th at 2 pm (EST 8:00).
While it is annoying that the rules change I don't see how it really effects anything. It's not as though they changed in the middle... they changed in the set-up stage and, I think we can all agree, they changed for the better. Sure, it'd be nice if BLAM we had a perfect set-up put in our laps but... people are only human, y'know?
On a lighter note... I found this Coliseum format original and refreshing. The 7 pills thing was exciting and even though we couldn't use CRs I thought being able to use ELO-banned cards was AWESOME. I saw a lot of cards I never see... even used one or two myself...
I'm not gonna be too specific about what I used or saw being used but I'm happy with my performance and I hope I get a Dj Korps (so I can sell it immediately, lol)
...well last minute changes are annoying but they seem difficult to avoid..specially when you prepare your deck before the start of the event
But, we are talking about new formats, sometimes never tried. The staff can be thorough but the first feedback of players commenting the rules always point out some default of the rules they didn't foresee (in this case how unbalanced the Coliseum would have been with CR especially Jackie)..so I guess it is not a bad thing they adapt it afterwards..
In my opinion, it is difficult to require from UR staff both originality and no flexibility..
Couldn't be possible to add a comment at the end of the rules saying they might change and to wait for the start of the event to build a deck? I know the rues change but I always forget and start preparing my deck. Having a reminder would be good and it is much easier to accept a change when you know it will occur.
The ban of cr"a was necessary as was the ban of splash
Imagine every mono uppers deck with Bonnie ld splash...woohoo
People still got boring and tried to abuse graks and Uranus thankfully they weren't as powerful as usual since most cards lacked damage anyway (at least mine)
Don't know If this was already posted, but:when I finish my games and then I press "Fight" again, and of course I have no games cause I've done them all could you please add a message where it says something like "You completed all of your games in this Coliseum",so that we don't have to go to the Coliseum page and be like "Ah I completed all my games, that's why I couldn't find an opp". Please, thank you!
@D3ath the Kid
the rule change was perfectly fine
the timing of the rule change was not
leave it at that, the organizers know this and have acknowledged it
open a second tab. go to the coliseum page on this tab and go to rankings, search your name. viola.
after finding no opponents 3 times, and you sort of know youve played 40+ games, probably a good idea to check the rankings anyway
yeah coding it would work too, but honestly, there are probably a host of other changes that would be better use of time
