Started this a long time ago, so let's do it again.
Ward hg: Seriously one of the most underrated; natural first choice for most people goes to C Wing, but this can replace Cyb Lhia in many cases (where there is already a lot of damage, and Ward hg would fit the theme).
Liam: People just remember Redra and Sasha, but Liam is probably just as good as those two, provided that Skeelz severely lack an SoA. People just build decks without him, but try to make a 3 2* deck with him if possible.
Ojibway: Somehow people just forgot about him, there was a time when he was banned every week... Still don't understand why. He is not as solid as lou, but has 2 increased damage used early, for a 10 damage that is almost irreducible.

@Kitsune
I'm under the impression the list isn't made to jump people in high levelled elo, just inform the community of cards that are actually quite usable but simply overlooked because a staple exists
Some 2*...for instance James are actually rather good and very affordable for those starting the game and they are left under the rug, ignored by higher levelled players for the staple. He is a great card that can bridge the gap for the player to get Jean or Pegh

Yes, @wats we are having a different meaning about underrated. My definition is something that should be used more in high level, but yours is anything that is underrated, for beginners as well. I am going to stick with my 'should be used in high level plays'.
I am saying stompah is underrated because I barely see any play from him, and as of right now frozn can be at the top of the meta.
@kitsune there are kind of two types of piranas plays. Obviously the first one is attack manipulation and pillz oriented, but the other side can also be a mix of that and damage, done with cards like ector (which is another underrated card). In half deck plays especially, Bloodh can be a god, whereas Dalhia cr is most likely win or lose first round.
I mean there are significant problems to the other 5*s too:
Michael: 10/7... conditionally, that will most likely face a DR making michael difficult to pill on in situations.
Tomas: SoB is solid, but 8/6 as a 5* is mediocre in skeelz.
Hemdall: I don't want to lose my 5*, knowing that the rest of my hand probably has even poorer damage.
A few more from me:
Elke: probably the second best 2* in gheist right now, making your opponent lose 1 pill is much better than adding 1 to yourself in most situations.
Mok: about as good as z3r0 d34d, revenge is not hard to activate.

Point taken, but ELO isn't very forgiving. It's fair to mention effective but not top choice characters for the benefit of new players.
Specifically, 2* that fill certain useful roles tend to be playable in ELO. The problem is that SOA will almost always destroy 2*s.
SOB: the most common useful 2*, Lehane, Marlysa Cr and Flanagan are obvious examples of top choices, but really any 2* with 2 damage, SOB and a combat ability can be useful, for example Samantha. A variant of this are no-pill walls such as Crunchy, Sasha, Katrina, Lothar, or Yumi.
Power reducer walls: these tend to be slightly underrated but excel at walling common threats like 7 power. Examples include Prince Jr, Dreen, Tula, Tobbie, Miho and Eadh.
2+2: these are 7/2 (or 8/2) with a 2 gap ability that can't be DR'd. Really useful because the gap is respectable and can be used to negate DR. Examples include Jessie, Dustyn, Melanie, Phyllis, Flint, Hel. 2* poisoners and pill manipulators are a variant of this (Cyb Lhia, Belle, Sferik, Hawkins, Ivy, Sheitane, Seth, etc...)
DR/ Defeat: Obviously a lot of examples. Great when they work, disastrous when they go against a nuke that can't be DR'd.

I just read this thread and was looking forward to saying "YES HUH 2*s HAVE A PLACE IN ELO!" but then you pretty much did it for me by listing like 15 awesome 2*s that beat most 5*s.
Sooo back to the topic... and might I add, VERY nice thread topic Oracle
Flush: Everybody knows about Spyke but everybody forgets about his ELO little brother Flush.
Cherry: A 3* with 8 power, an ability like THAT, in a clan like THAT, and only a 3*? Can somebody explain to me why she only goes for 328 clintz on the market?
Hmm that's all I got actually. You guys named most of them already

Oh yeah, Thomy is currently in my deck and proving rather valuable, oddly

Guru - Time Conquers All
Peeler - You got me here
Fizzle - No.
Travis Ld - I agree. Most will disagree, but on Uppers weeks/Fang Pi/Riots week, he will do his job damn good. 6/4 isn't bad, but it can be used to tickle the enemy
Otakool - No. Qubik.
Shogunn - I prefer Vermyn N, but to each his own, he's weak to SOA but stands a chance against power manipulation
Owen - Nope. Even Judge scare.
Azgroth - So we have Dudley Ld, Oshitsune
, Magenta (who isn't too viable but if you feel like you can make her work), Glorg. Why would we need a wall, especially when revenge Crowen walls just as good and is easy to activate?
Vito- No, Angelo 2 stars less for 3 less damage, Nightmare, Roots, Skeelz, etc all make it not worth it for FOUR stars
Buck - Not with WeeLee, even when he's banned Shaun as well as Dylan are currently in Clint City
Ngarth - Unless Murray's banned (has only happened once in my UR life), I wouldn't. Even then, I would prefer Anakhrom, although I do see a tad bit viability, but personally I would not.
Valentina Ld - Agreed, the two damage can negate common DR which Carmen sometimes can't
Neloe - I'm rooting for Neloe, this is known.
Augustino - can replace Stacey in some cases, it really doesn't matter either way
Lothar - Since Dr Norton had to depart from ELO station, Lothar can come back. Dreen even I use, 3 damage and small pills are fun to force and opponent to pill hard.
J amox , I agree with most of what you said, but Ludmilla, Balorg, and Titsuk
Liam- Bad. Don't

Guru - Time Conquers All
Taham - I like Eebiza, so I'll pass.
Stompah - staple in Frozn mono and most of the time halves, LOLno
Aylen - when Xingshu is banned, and AllStars are not a thing
Bloodh - Not in my swamp when Fischer is released soon
Orenichi - been there done that, I would prefer even Rosa over her tbh.
Harold - use him all the time, can be very lethal when confidence is activated.
Baldavino - He can work, sure.
Tsuka - Naw. Tried, weak to both SOA/SOB
Stanly - Can work honestly. But then you would need a lot of round winners (Fanny, Nanook, Numar, Felicia come to my mind)
Nukerenbo/Tameshi are nice nukes indeed. More defensive however, so use Kusuri, Marly (if you have her), and maybe Tomoe
Treeman - YES. In mono, at least. Haven't tried him in halves for a while, but I'm assuming Flora, Willow, Treeman + some other roots card would make a nice, defensive, cheap half.
Iguana Samson - Hell, I'd use him even if it wasn't an SOA week. IMO, trish too shaky, but Wyre is really good anyweek that isn't allstars (then again striker.)
Ojibway - Miss Nova's offensive other half. I've seen this a lot actually, and I can understand why.
Ward hg -Yes. However I prefer CybLhia on Kitties/DR weeks over him. Or run both possibly
Elke - Possibly. As like, a second-third choice.
Mok - oddly enough, I see Z3r0 D43D and him paired together. They are great 2* nukes
Flush - Although everything's second to Lola, honestly he can work.
Cherry - As a monoKitties main, I generally have 2 3* space. Usually they are
eXgirlXjeze - Sunday 11/01/2015, 23:52
Guru - Time Conquers All
Jayzel, and Samia / Cherry
Thomy -fury Lehane
Gerald - Maybe when Nightmare are rampant, or attack manipulation clans are? I see the theory behind it, but cards like striker will indeed strike you over the head while on pillz
Now for my underrated cards, and why.
Samia - Alternative to Cherry/Noemi. On Rescue weeks, my god, she destroys all the campbell and Kerry. Also is good versus anything but Skeelz, I suggest monoKitties exclusive however.
Miss Nova - Remember the ruckus SOADRs have caused in the past? Well Miss Nova can do that or attack. No laughing matter, she is
Otto/Todd- would be my second choice if i had to pick a skeelz 2* after Redra for a half, and my third/fourth (When Nena and her bro are released) if I had to do Skeelz mono. Is so fun on weeks when cards with 5+ damage are common, or weeks when DR is common.
Kephren - huge situational DR with stable stats not affected by SOA, and can sneak if needed. worth imo, especially with Xingshu.
Dwan/Minerva/Alexandra/Zornado and other 5* huge DR with the potential of sneaking - They are all my favorites. As a Kitties main, I like the mindgames
Jay/Carter - Huge damage for 4*, what's not to love? (EVERYTHING IS SECOND TO XINGSHU BTW XDDD)
Soushee- Nice lowstar murder fun.
La Cobra - Ties together Wrestling Cats.
Lena/Selina - Nice monoKitties cards since Sera is prob on permaban with Xing
Baby Q - I revisited her recently, and I came to a conclusion that SOB + 6 power is not awful at all. In fact SOBDR is OP IMO..

Travis Ld - mediocre stats, anything 6 or below jolly does better. Anything 7 or above would not be touched by travis ld.
Liam - Seriously, you guys have not tried Liam. Skeelz biggest enemy is pretty much anything with a good ability that trumps cards such as rahi sledon, or life gappers like jautya. SoA is pretty much essential in every good deck.
Bloodh - Fischer is a different card.... 7 is impressive, but could not win the game on its own. Bloodh could in many situations.
Gerald - One of my favorites back when Jungo were much more viable. Made a good 4th 3* in mono.
Samia: I have never tried, but is damage a bit on the low side?
Miss Nova - No big fan of courage, especially with DR. DR is only useful if you can see what is coming at you. And stats are not the best. If she was 7/7 she would be a more solid candidate. Simeon and ojibway and even rosen.
Otto/Todd: 7 power is surprisingly hard to win, also considering how they are weaker versions of Cyb Lhia and Ward hg (I would take vortex bonus over protection)
5* DRs: They are useable below 1300s, just as everything else. Above that, you need to use an orthodox deck to really get you far. DR on 5* is a wasted ability unless solid stats.
Carter: really, 7/6 unassisted?
Soushee: 6 power is really bad.
Selina: Lena is interesting, but Selina is just weak.
Baby Q: SoB with DR makes a good combo when reducing damage, but would you really wanna throw away your 4*? 6 power is really a bit weak in most games.
