This is a long thread, so maybe it's been covered, but I think it would be cool to have a clan that had the ability opposite whatever clan ability it's facing.
So - Fighting Uppers? The bonus is a +10. Pussycats? +2 damage. Freaks? +2 heal with a max of 15. And so on. You might even have it as a stop-op ability against Skeelz, a protect against Gheist.
The clan would be something to do with mirrors or mimics.
I completely disagree. Firstly you look at my design philosophy, it's not OP 2* period, it's OP 2* for T2 and especially T3
Squille is balanced ish in T1 so is Soneta, Chang its in T2 and T3 they become monsters
Secondly its an All Stars card. Against most cards it will convert the opponent to a 5 power card. In Survivor where 8 power and up is common this card is a monster, being both damage reducer and a power manipulator
6 power would be too broken and also not original, Zlabal is already one of the stronger Survivor cards, being 6 power would basically make it Zlabal except also damage reducing
But there are lots of cards with 5 and fewer that do see play. so to put Power exchange on 7 would just be asking for trouble. not to mention, Bangers and Ulu Watu exist, so itd be even greater risk.
If you want your card to keep the power exchange, maybe lower its base power to like...5, that way the exchange actually makes sense and could actually be beneficial
Obviously. In the same way that Soneta is countered by SOA or cancel manip my card is countered by low power. But actually in the current meta for low star cards the average power is around 7, including 5* and 4* it's around 7.5 . In survivor the base power is more like 8. I already told you, this card is intended for survivor
A base power of 5 would make this card permanently banned in ELO and tournament, unless the card was 3* or above. Most opposing cards would be 3 power compared to your 7 due to AS bonus. That's ridiculous.
Anyway, enough about that. I like the reverse Ashigaru but it doesn't have enough benefits IMO as a leader. In a way this is like a mini Memento where it's mainly useful for unlocking the courage condition but that doesn't offset the inherent disadvantage of courage. If the card had more usable stats on its own, maybe 9/7 or so or if the ability gave more than a courage push, I think it would be alot more sensible
I guess I see your point about your card.
I guess i get what your saying for for mine. I mostly jsut made it to be an homage to Stan Lee (creator of Marvel), so I figured the ability Inspire would suit him. it could be anything really....a power/damage buff, an attack buff....
though...despite Courage, i know that going first is a massive disadvantage....
Strike Back at least has a tactical advantage...
Don't mind me, just posting some more Dirge (Bonus: Level Sync: +12 Attack; explained at the end of Page 214 or reply 2141) cards.
2* Common 6/2
Stop Opp. Ability
When Forza first appeared on the clan's doors with a lute made out of pure silver, includings the strings, she was laughed right out. However, this only spured her determination on, and it was through five weeks of consecutive playing that the maestro himself allowed her to join.
3* Uncommon 7/3
Level Sync: Power +2
Wagner always feels the pressure when playing his glockenspiel. Most say it's the rest of the clan, spiting him for using such an unconventional instrument in their orchestra, but others suggest there's someone else watching, beyond our world, residing within the keys themselves...
4* Uncommon 7/5
Courage: -8 Opp. Attack, Min. 7
Fat, unimposing, and downright silly are words used to describe the large tuba player of the Dirge. Despite all this, he plays on. But once a finger or word is placed atop any of his fellow orchestra members, the gloves come off and a terrifying man emerges from the initial ball of sweetness.
3* Rare 8/3
Cancel Opp. Power Manip.
While initially captivated by the music, it's Eliza who ensures the Dirge's audience stays - combining long, lush hair with delicate fingers that strum the harp with impossible flow, no man, woman, or non-living being is able to simply leave.
-1 opp atk per life left min 7
El Cerebro considers himself the greatest manager in all of Lucha Libre! On the mic he certainly is incomparable, and he's willing to use every dirty trick in the book to help his wrestler win, but the guidance he gives his clients....doesn't always pan out. More often than not, El Cerebro will give silly gimmick suggestions that a performer ends up ditching quickly.
Jerry Monsoon was one of the most beloved Luchadores in his hayday. Wrestling under the name Rey Gorilla, Jerry was a real terror for smaller opponents, given his size and finishing move, the Bearhug. When Jerry retired, he felt as if he'd be forgotten to time, but Noctezuma respected him far too much to let that happen. Jerry Monsoon became the commentator for all of the Huracan's televised events. Over time, the fans came to recognize him as the voice of the Huracan
