Even during the holiday period, the team is hard at work coming up with new ideas to improve your gaming experience.
Today we are delighted to be able to announce a whole range of changes and updates that we hope you'll enjoy.
Firstly the Survivor mode has finally passed its test period. We've reviewed and increased the Clintz rewards you can win and we’ve added credits for the best players of the day, week, month and Deck format. You can therefore put together series in all the available Deck formats to try and increase your winnings.
We’ve also used this opportunity to increase the prizes awarded in the ELO tournaments: not only for those players who have high scores but cannot get into the top 25, but for everyone else too.
We’ve also decided to apply the challenging rules in Survivor mode to all the other competition modes (daily tournaments, ELO, etc.): visibility and Quick Battle are obligatory, refusals are forbidden.
Another much awaited change is that we've completely updated the ranking system: your rank is now directly linked to the percentage of the collection you own (no more respect points) and we’ve added 4 new grades (Veteran, Hero, Legend and Divinity).
Now I feel the complaints from one of the posters here. A DT full of Zatman's, Vickie's, and Jackie's.........Nice.........Yeah, I stopped playing the tourney because I played 6 PLAYERS STRAIGHT HAVING THOSE 3 BANNED CARDS IN ELO!!!! Yeah, I give up.........Listen or not, your choice......
@Marshall Law players have already been using those cards in DT even before the update. The only difference now is you would need more skills than luck instead of vice versa when facing them in non-random tournaments. Or maybe before you were lucky enough to avoid any players using them .
If you don't like non-random tournaments then play during random tournaments if you don't like playing against ELO Banned cards then play in ELO Rooms. There is always a simple solution.
I have to say that after a few rounds of playing with the new changes, I don't like most of it. I can somewhat live with the alternating random/non-random tournaments, although I think it might be better to give people a choice every tournament how they'd like to play it. The whole problem I have with these updates is the amount of choice they take away from me and every other player. I can't choose who I challenge. I can't choose to refuse a player I don't want to play with. This last makes me especially mad, because those with red smileys deserve to be refused every match, in my opinion. I've been burned too many times in tournament play to think otherwise. Perhaps a separate room could be created for them, or perhaps we could be given an option to ignore those players.
@ Marshall Law:
that's why the admins made mode formats where players can play and win. if TQs dont work for you anymore, try Survivor or even ELO. Plus, Uppers/Montana has been a meta deck for a very very very very long time now.. i guess the reason for your 6 straight matches against this deck is just pure bad luck. But that's the price of having the new updates.
@ RF Mothros:
u CAN actually refuse matches from red faces (i think, only if they challenge you). i think the admins already fixed the bug regarding this. at first, i though that the quick challenge was a bad idea too.. but now, i realize that it's a fair way of getting opponents. plus, it's good if they cant refuse..
@Marshall Law: it's better this way because now those cards can actually win like they should before EVERY dt those cards would lose a lot thanks to randomness if you're not good enough to beat them with non-random and you have to rely on random to win at all then just play during random you don't have to quit altogether
I dont mind not being able to pick in tournament and survivor but in elo, now that is annoying me
i just want to play against someone who has the same amount of points as me, but instead i play someone who has lots more points then me or someone who is below 1000 points
