The 17 points if your opponent leaves is probably a holdover from the last Coliseum event where +life factored into your score... except last time, there was no limit on the number of points you could get from life.
And as people have said, it's pretty stupid. The oversight should have been fixed, and if it's possible to go back and re-adjust scores, that should be done too. To balance the scoring, either a forfeit should be worth 6 points (with 6 lost for the quitter), or a win should be worth 12 points.
This Coliseum event is really broken. Pretty much the only way you can leap up in points is by being lucky or by being a cheater and getting other people to timeout or leave (both give 17 points).
Otherwise it's 18 life, 26 stars and SOA/SOB banned plus ELO bans are allowed. So Uranus, Graks, Mokra and Sigma are everywhere. And how can you lend a KO when opponent has those AND 18 life?
Even Sigma-warring usually can give you only a win and almost never a KO... And even with La Junta hand and no DRs in opponent hand it's usually still a win at max, probably not aAnd win is a lousy 1 point.
Staff members, you should try playing in it and scoring in it yourselves and you will understand that what I am saying is true.
Or maybe I miss some huge secret to high scoring but I somehow doubt that.
I have an awesome deck, I play perfectly, I win all 30 matches some of them with KO
and in the end I manage to get around 40 points
On the other hand, I have a lusy deck, I lose 27 matches and out of luck 3 of my opponents
leave. In this senario I'll have 51 points.
Not my sense of justice.
Can any moderator explain it? Is this rational??
As you all saw, I made a mistake in this coliseum's session; Indeed, the first scoring rule is totally wrong, it should have been: If win (normal), then add point(s) with life points, (1 pts) to player
Obviously the tournament was full of cheat and we are going to postpone this session and redo it soon with the correct scoring rules. Please excuse me.
I hope to see you in the next Coliseum!
