As part of the final stages of the shop’s revamp, the New Blood and Mega packs will be merged into one for ease of use, and this is how the pack will look:
New Blood Pack – 5 cards from the latest 45 releases – at least 1 guaranteed Rare card – Price: 28 credits
As far as the exclusive cards are concerned, they will ALL be distributed in exactly the same way:
- via a limited edition feature pack available from 12 to 72 hours max.
- a fortnight later, via the flash missions; the special card will only be available in the Elite packs.
Then, two weeks after that, the character will be widely available EXCEPT in the New Blood packs.
The special cards will NO LONGER interfere with the New Blood releases and will never form part of these packs.

I think the change is overall good, because so we know what to expect, and fair, because the cards will not be available in NB, but will be in Flash missions.
On the other hand, Dakota and Cannibal Jo did not go through this cycle from the beginning. So it would be better to either provide flash missions for them, or include them in NB, maybe even for a limited time.

Is the "huge surprise" related to the unnamed Mercy-lookalike in the background?

Can you please explain the change in credit pack prices. E.g. the biggest pack is $30 more than it used to be

Calculations:
28/5= 5.6
40/7 = 5.71...
From there, it is around 5.6 Credits per card which has a better Credit value when you think about it. You still get the Rare Card.

The pack price change should help reduce the price of the NB rare cards upon release quicker than before. All-around I think this is a decent change.

Omg I love the new character in the background!

How are we, players, supposed to find out that this or that card is Special and if it has already been included into Elite pack or not?
Esp, the players who do not log in on a daily basis? Read all the news for the last couple of months?
Check the list of NB characters in an attempt to exclude a suspicious-looking card? Check the date of this card's release and count 30 days?
Or are you messing with our heads for fun?

I like the pack merging since the rares are the main cards everyone wants and we're saving 12 credits and forgoing another Uncommon and Common card (most likely). I am guessing that the pack distribution in terms of rarity will be something like 1 R, 2 U, 2 C with a chance to get an extra rare and/or extra uncommon, which replaces another card in the pack.
With the exclusive card change, I think its a decent change, but can have some issues with it. I do like the idea of earning the character through flash missions (as long as we won't have those annoying "sell x card to Kate" missions anymore). The issue with this change is simply the price remaining very inflated even after it is released in all packs. I guess we'll just have to see how it works out in the end, so I'm hoping for the best.
As for the new background character, I see pink and crystal-y hair, so I'm guessing Vortex! Can't wait to see her become entirely crystallized like the other Vortex cards!

@Turgoyak: If a card appears first in a special pack or flash missions then you know it wont be in new blood.
