Enough is enough! Hawkins always felt that he was cut out for adventure. So at Sharky Burger's, upon hearing about a bunch of ingenious kids who recently recreated a medieval court with dragons, swords and duels, he felt his blood boil. Of course, his Piranas buddies are doing their utmost to talk him out of it, chalking it up to fairytales, trickery and other such nonsense... But when you're a twelve-year-old, with a broom in hand, and your only dream is to relive the greatest heroic legends from your parents' library, allowing yourself the slightest deviation from what could turn out to be your life's quest is not an option. Not to mention that that traitor Oon is already said to be there, to be sure to find it! What a nerve! His bundle, a short message to Bloodh (in case he would have to return sooner than expected) and off he goes to Orfan Woods. In the forest, Cannibal Jo has been trying for some time now to wipe out the memory of the horrible features, foreshadowing the worst cruelties, before Impera Sloane interceded and knocked her out. But Jo knows this truce to be short-lived. The matter will have to be dealt with promptly! Luckily, Cannibal Jo is a quick study who immediately grasps the meaning of the expression “solve the problem fast”. To do so, she will have to return to the cabin, but you don't get anything for nothing down here. To Pr Cushing, the issue seems to run deeper. He caught a glimpse of Cristalys in town. His greatest success will also turn out to be his greatest nightmare. What a beauty, independent and self-sufficient. Never would he have dreamed of creating such a complex being all by himself. But now she is going to hunt him down, chase him, make sure that her secret remains intact. She cannot allow hers and Dregn's origins to be brought out into the open. Shouldn't have played with chemistry... it can be dangerous. 3 bundles, 3 departures, 3 crossed destinies. Farewell to Hawkins, Cannibal Jo and Pr Cushing.
The program is as follows:
- Market close-down until Friday, October 6th 11AM
- Droprate x2 on Cannibal Jo in Titanium packs and Droprate x3 on Armageddon
- Collector transition on Monday, October 9th 11AM
Let the hunting begin!
That wasn't trying to be main point. I apologise for going off on a tangent, I thought I made myself clear.
I was trying to say that cards must have a cooldown period of a substantial amount of time before they go CR so that people can get these cards.
A player who has been consistently playing matches for a year may be able to get this card.
A player who was been consistently playing matches for 4 months will not.
Cannibal Jo was a very bad choice... I agree with Indemnity! I know nowadays it's much easier to get Crs than before, but 6 years ago there werent 1400 Cards, this is madness, because the challenge isnt getting the Big 5 anymore, is getting 1400 Cards and the Big 5, plus dozens of 1kk to 3kk Crs... It is supposed to be hard, but making Cannibal Jo a Cr now, is laughing in the face of the free player... And I usually buy credits, I had a rough couple of months, but with Cannibal Jo it seems like I've lost a year of collection development... And now, I'm going to buy 300 credits to get the packs... Am I happy? Surely not! Do I think it's fair? Surely not! But that's life! It could have been avoided, surely driving players to madness wasnt the idea, but it happens...
We knew that comic cards would most likely go Cr. Xantiax Robb did and I’m pretty sure he was Cr faster than Cannibal Jo was.
I’m very pleased with this Cr announcement with my favorite being Hawkins!
I have all the arts for Pr Cushing and Hawkins. Only one Cannibal Jo so not to bad for me.
Weird thought, but perhaps the price of Jo will go a little down or be around the same as before the announcement? With the need for 4 of them to have the highest collectors score prior to the Cr shift, there was no doubt less on the market. Now that you only need one, people will start off-loading their extra. Might not happen, but still, it's slightly possible.
Cannibal joe was an obvious instant cr from the get go, i feel like she was not supposed to be as expensive as she was but at the same time if you love the raptors you would have sold off some stuff to get her. I honesty think cannibal joe and a few other exclusive characters are unique cases, joe even more so since it was implied that a few of the exclusive characters may become crs soon after release. She will either be added to the ranks of the big 5 or die off when people who over stocked her expect a payout, and/or the 2x and 3x bundles flood the market with her, that might help balance it all out.
Gosh I made a mistake and tried to get an Armageddon, bad decision
To the people saying how obvious it was for Cannibal Jo... The fact that something is obvious doesn't always mean there's something you can do about it. Yeah, she was bound to be a Cr sooner or later - and the entire time I don't think she went for under 200k or more. Let's be real, people, for thousands of players (me included) Jo was a dream of a card even before the announcement, and now it's beyond unreachable.
I don't believe the big 5 are becoming more common or devaluated - there are simply more veterans than new players for the game, so more people can afford them. (And I'm not mentioning how this is a ridiculous choice for a Cr; aren't they supposed to be cards that have circulated for a while and now "retire"? What's the point with introducing OP cards then CRing them to create artificial -or real- scarcity, other than for driving people to buy credits for packs?)
As for @ Tricky_HoA 's comment that "UR has ALWAYS said Cr's can be any card and CAN come at anytime so at worst they contradicted themselves"... Yeah, that's what lying is, when you say you're gonna do something (or not) and then go ahead and do it anyway. Having no Crs for the rest of the year would have allowed more people to buy Cannibal Jo (and Hawkins and PR Cushing as well) at a reasonable price, and for new players to get them as well. Guess it's no point arguing about it now, though.
