There have been several reports of attempted scamming lately. Anyone asking for your password is trying to rob you. This cannot be emphasized enough. Here are a couple of scamming methods to watch out for...
I am a moderator. I need your password so I can inspect / add something to(cards, clintz, credits) your account.
NO ONE on the Urban Rivals staff will ever ask for your password. If something needs to be added to your account, the Admins do not need your password to do so. The same applies if your account needs to be checked for activity of any kind.
Take this survey and we'll give you free credits/clintz/cards. Just give us your account name and password so we know where to put them.
No website that offers free credits/clintz/cards is sponsored by Urban Rivals. If you see an offer like this, it is almost certainly a scam.
Again, do not, for any reason, give your password to anyone.
Not to sound negative, but there are those individuals who will ALWAYS fall victim to these scams.
To quote Albert Einstein:
“There are two things that are infinite, the universe & human stupidity. I’m not certain about the universe.”
The best we can do is to reiterate this point over & over & over. hmmm
I had an encounter with someone who i think was a scammer.
I started around the time the second big lot of Jungo was released (well i think) Ongh and his crew. I looked thru the cards and based on art and that they are human/animal hybrids i chose Jungo to be the first deck i would collect. I bought some credits and bought some New Blood decks and got alot of Jungo. As i leveled i ran into some guy and he whispers me after the game saying he liked my deck, i had cool cards blah blah blah. He then proceeded to GIVE me HIS account details and asked if i could buy him credits on his account so he could trade me cards for cheap or some crap. Coming from a MMO background (i still play today) I found it weird that he wanted to give me his details even tho he didnt know me. I just ignored him and he continued to send me msg's asking me to do it and again i ignored.
Then i find out once im not so noob, that you can't sell cards on market or private until u purchase credits. So i go back and check the account details he had given me and they were slightly different to the name he used to first contact me.
I'm guessing he was gunna try and get the cards off his second account for 50 clinkz or wateva the minimum private trade price is, but who knows what his real motives were, in the end it is best to ignore and report these indiviuals asap so they don't ruin the game we play and love.
