I think we all need to take the hint, and when Caelus was unbanned this week nearly 70-80% of the ELO/T1 matches i played in, i played against him. When the game becomes less about strategy and deck building and more about exploiting cards that slip through the ELO banning system, there is a problem. I know this comes off as "wahhh people can afford cheap / no skill cards and i cant", but there really needs to be a better system for weeding out cards that are this broken, instead of the current ELO weekly banning system that basically just teeter-totters between skrewing certain clans so people use other cards/clans.
I guess all you can ask for is for people to take in consideration cards WE should ban on a weekly basis, if the mods wont.

Damage Reducer is not a big deal for a damage 8 monster. If that DR in question has no attack manipulation bonus, Caelus will still break the wall easily and give you 4-6 damage. 2-3 pills for a very safe 4-6 damage, that's quite a good deal IMO.
When facing caelus teamed with any of the following: Chiara Sasha Sandro Redra Deebler, if my opp play first and throw in his Caelus at the very beginning, it's very hard to accept his pass by using DRs because If that is a bluff, it must be called rather than using DRs IMO. In other words, caelus has in that situation forced most DRs lose their usage of avoiding risk of bluff calling.

@KON ARTIST: You are talking about 2 cards here out of roughly 500 cards that could stop that combo. One of those cards is almost never used... did you even think before you posted ?
@Foul-EVO: Kolos could be damage reduced too, but that didn't stop people from dealing 5 easy damage over Uranus basically for free and taking home the win with their last 8 - 10 pillz anyways. And now Kolos is banned for good reasons. And Kolos could've been SoA'd on top, which you can't do with Caelus in most cases.
BesucherXia is quite right there with the argument that DRs are often not enough for 8 damage cards (especially when they are backed up by DR themselves). And the DR's in Caelus case can't be bypassed except by cards like Jesse or Murray.
Caelus isn't unstoppable, but cards like Guru Cr, Lyse Teria Cr, or more recent bans like Kolos or Marco aren't unstoppable either. But they are definitely overpowered.
Just because there are counters out there doesn't mean they are not out of balance.

Caelus is VERY good, it's true. However, I feel that his unbanning, along with Copper's, was a nice shakeup. Honestly, I'd rather see smokey banned more, because I despise pill manipulation (just my thing). Caelus tends to lose whenever I've seen him, due to the fact that I tend to use all-stars, and their bonus puts him on equal terms anyways, not counting kang or (if you're really weird) frank. I agree that DR's don't really counter 8 damage nukes that well, but use your imagination instead of screaming at the computer when he shows up. Plan to counter him with attack manipulation, or use a power reducer (trish, kang, platinum and I think tula eat him, among others, plus good complete stoppers). If you've got a nuke waiting, you could even straight up let him through (yes, that's workable, if you keep your head screwed on straight).
Perhaps I'm biased, because my preferred clan counters caelus pretty directly, but I think it's fun to screw with people's 'omg easy ELO' decks sometimes. That being said, I still think him and copper are headed straight for perma-ban land, but I definitely wouldn't complain if they were still around
