Please make a battle history reviewer asap. make it so we can review each fight for detalils (best to make a display version which shows the fight in the speed you want + a way to convert it to text and post on forums/guilds so we can get tips and strategy advice. ty.
There are 3000+ people online and in combat rooms at this moment, and that's probably a lower than average amount.
Lets say the average fight takes around 3 minutes. If the average player only plays in combat for an hour a day, that's 20 fights in their playing day. If 3000 people is an average hourly game population in the combat rooms, that's 60000 fights every hour, as a rough average.
Not really sure how big a 3 minute flash video of a fight would be, but taking into consideration graphics, animations and audio, if we even underestimate at 100kb, that's 6GB of video's created per hour. 144GB per day. 1TB a week.
Then you have to allow for the bandwidth to stream them back to any number of players at any time. Quite an expensive feature so far
To make it more storage friendly, they could be recorded in plain text, but if that's the case you may as well do that yourself
To make it a little easier for people who would like this, there could be a button to click after combat that gives a text output of the battle that you could cut and paste and store yourself, but beyond that, I wouldn't see it as a viable feature to input really.
You don't need video. Anyone plays poker online? A big part of it is on checking and reviewing your hand history. Most poker clients will save a text file for a session. There are sites like http://weaktight.com/ that can take that text file and transform it into something more pleasing to the eyes.
That being said i say a simple text file would be great. Written in a simple yet "complete" format, it could help improve your game a lot. You could just post it here or on your guild's forum and discuss it with other players.
There could also be some options like: "save all", "don't save", "ask every time". Imagine that you're playing DT's, you don't want to, at the end of each match, being asked if you want to save the text file or not. So the first two options would become handy.
Just some thoughts. I really loved the idea, if done well it will certainly improve our game.
