Alec is a 4 star card that sets up a nice 2 hit ko. Even with damage reduction his high damage is still a pain. You do not need to put a pill in the card to give your opponents trouble. Keep in mind that Alec with no pill in a Mono Rescue clan = 19 attack. Same goes with the whole clan, you do not need to pill at all and you get that +12 attack easily unless faced with SOB.
Avola is a 5 star card that sets up a nice 2 hit ko. Even with damage reduction her high damage is still a pain. But..You actually need to at least put a pill in Avola for her bonus to be of use when battling attack manipulation, 8-powered cards, or power reduction cards. Avola without a pill = 7 attack. Most Montana cards need a pill for added attack for their bonus to be useful against other cards because most Montana cards have power below 8 and their bonus has a minimum 8.
+12 attack through support is very different compared to a -12 min. 8 bonus.
1 star difference is a big factor in ELO.
1 pill would always matter and can mean a win or lose for you.
All in all Alec is still way better and is a bigger threat compared to Avola.
1 star, makes a big difference man. Plus Avola comes from a clan widely used in DTs not exactly ELO. I don't think really I'd use her in ELO anytime soon (unless they come up with a better 2* besides Spiaghi) And frankly, I think Fabio kicks way more butt than she does, because someone like Arno just hurts Avola bad.
Alec Cr has been around for a while, while Avola hasn't. So really, Avola is just another "recreation" of Alec Cr but with different stuff*.
