I have a message from Fraggle for you :
«Your comments have been taken into account : we’ve changed the new Deathmatch mode again to make it more interesting for those who want to level up.
The «DM» points don’t exist any more. From now on the points you’ll get are normal battle points which count in your levelling (they will replace the points you would have had normally). At the end, the bonus of points is added.
All these points are taken into account in rankings.
These changes are a bad idea, I guess. As Mathwiz pointed out, 1000 Points an hour are possible without winnig every battle.
What impact will that have on UR? The number of multi-Accounts will rise, since now it is possible to get a Leader faster than ever before and its worth it. After a certain time, prices of Leaders will drop.
Until now, a Morphun was something special, now it seems quite easy to get one. And after Morphun there is no Leader (at the moment). Some people might lose interest, when they reach things too fast.
My solution: Points in Deathmatch should be depend on the level as it is done in many other games (Player with high Level get more points, cause it is a lot harder to get from Lv 70 to 71 as from 30 to 31, e.g.).
I dont understand why DM points and Battle Points were too confusing, people cant handle a system with 2 kinds of points? now you have a super leveling system, which will be applauded by a few and hated by many. This can work if you cut back the amount of points you can win in a DM, DM's started out as mini DT's but now it feels like it's a 10 DT's crammed into 20minutes when it comes to point work. And although this will cause faster leveling, faster leveling has never made any one game more attractive to the players, in most cases it has an opposite effect.
@dark-eagle: It's not a matter of confusion or not. The change now create a proper way to level up and reduce the needs of so-called "pfulls" to level up. Especially for high-level player when the gap between levels starts to be really big.
If you wins a lot, you'll get a lot of XP, true, but the more good players comes to DM, the harder it will become to win all the time, thus reducing the avg xp won per DM.
We strongly believe than a good, competitive, fun game mode to gains XP is much much better than a brainless "Pfull" system.
And from what I can see from the boards and all, most players seems to welcome the change. Honestly, we are quite happy with the DM mode.
You said it, Fraggle, for high-levels the gap between levels starts to be really big, so why not making the DM points depend on the Level?
Prefulling is brainless, yes, but the HighLevels paid for it and LowLevels could earn some money with it. That is now over, I think. So in the end, young players will raise faster in level but slower in money. And as I said before, Multiaccounts start to become usefull for selling Leaders. New single account player will get all Leaders sooner, but their prices will drop.
