Summer is coming to its end and our ELO ban test is ending too. We’ve noticed several things: a real change in strategies and a very different Top 10 each week.
We gathered that these changes bore fruits
We have noticed several very positives things, particularly with the use of wide variety of decks. But we also noticed negative things like the lack of clearness of ELO bans, it was a bit untidy.
Next week we will come back to a more usual ELO mode but we will add some bans. We will take some more time to work on the concept and come back with something more complete and comprehensive as soon as possible.
We will give you the list of banned characters soon.
We wanted to thank you for your involvement, your enthusiasm and your numerous comments which helped a lot.
We will review everything and come back with a much clearer system.
Personally I will say this. These new perma bans aren't bad, but I like how the bans were a few weeks ago with the long list of staff banned cards. It was during that moment I didn't feel the need to run Gheist/ All stars to be competative and I saw more clan being played than I ever had.
My biggest complaint about a big ban list is that it became almost impossible to create decent decks. And then, it turned into a recurring weekly nightmare (deck creation). It clearly did not help the little guy as they just didn't have the kind of lattitude required to constantly change decks and clans.
'Why is Ghumbo permanently banned and Askai is never ever ever banned!!!
I now have to switch clans because there really isnt any 5* in Nightmare worth playing
New 5* for Nightmare please or unban Ghumbo or Kolos'
see comments like tthis make me wish the banlist were even longer. People who havent played long enough just suck at this game cause they're lazy and they never bothered to make a deck beyond what they see as strong.
Nightmare has Nistarok (a great 5*) and Elena (a good but not super 5*) you are by far not forced to switch clans if one card gets banned. If you had bothered to get any other nightmare cards then the 4 or 5 you always use you would know this by now.
people are to lazy to adapt to new enviroments these days, if you cant evolve you go extinct, cant adapt to a new UR you will leave... plz go down in style, dont go down with a temper tantrum
You should only be able to vote for a card only once in the ELO format election. No use spending all four of your earned vote points to ban a card you don't like to go up against only to find out that someone used six vote points to keep that card.
I think that this way, people will vote for a wider variety of cards instead of just voting to keep or ban one card. This will also be good for the newer players who don't score so high in ELO as it makes each of their votes really count.
