I would explain it for you, but it already is explained better than I ever could: http://www.urban-rivals.com/game/rules.php?show=elo
You can have a look on the public presets list, here: http://www.urban-rivals.com/presets/list.php#state(0,20,date,desc,all,0,0,0,0,0) (hopefully this link will not be horrendously posted like the first one).
You can choose to display only elo compatible decks, pick two clans to form the deck and rank them by popularity!
Personally, i wouldn't go into ELO until i had the funding, cheap deck's don't go as far in ELO. What my first goal would be is to earn as many credits as possible and get some new blood packs, they've always got expensive cards and if you luck out you might get something like Cortez. THEN I would start in ELO when i had a powerful deck.
100k is more than enough. The Djinny is amazingly wrong. To get to 1200 elo which gives you chance of a rare card and 5 credits for sure is pretty damn easy with a very cheap deck. From my experience i can tell you that up to 1200 most of the clans I encounter are att. manipulation ones such as montana, rescue and junks. Of course always piranhas as well. Combo clans that have sinergy. Just for the sake of the example you can do montana + gheist .
Rescue should only be played Mono though as their Bonus is support based.
Montana has the most powerful bonus, but I quite like uppers because is you end up in a pilless fight your opponant will only have an attack of 3.
Vortex are a nice clan for pill domination match them up with Montana and you'll do well
Hold on a sec', he said he got the 100k AFTER i gave my advice, i didn't say that he should get more than 100k.
And also, unless you're some sort of tactical genius i doubt you can beat a level 50+ when your new to the game AND have a deck that's easily 10 times worse than the opponent's.
yes i know that ELO isn't dominated by lvl. 50+ i was just using that as an example.
