Because there is only so much to be said after today's events, I will keep it short and sweet.
With the word of what recently happened in Norway with the Utoeya shooting coming to light to the rest of the world, I would like to extend my apologies and thoughts to our Scandinavian friends. I know Norway, Denmark, and Sweden are like brothers and I am sure that this disaster comes to a shock and a blow to you all. Disasters like that shouldn't happen and are horrible when they do and many of us in other parts of the world have had disasters like this hit close to home. Terrorism is a horrible and unpredictable problem in this world, but my prayers are with you.
Nothing we can say or do can change the events that took place today, but as someone who has spent extensive time in Norway, I can tell you I deeply feel for your losses. All we can hope for is that things get better soon and such attacks come to a halt after such a terrible and saddening event. Good luck to you all and God speed.
Yurieu, along with the bombing of the prime minister's office, there was also a shooting on the island of Utoeya off the coast of Oslo where over 80 people were killed, the majority of which were children between the ages of 12 and 18. A horrible and tragic event that few of us can comprehend. All we can do is let the people of Norway know we are thinking of them and that they are not alone in this feeling of loss.
