I guess my all time favorite underrated card is Randy.
This card is golden. He has 6 damage for a 3 STAR. 6 damage is considered incredible even for a four star, yet people say Robb is better than him. Well let me tell you this. The power par for the current UR metagame is 7 power. This means that most of the time he will "only" be a virtual 9/6 3*, while Robb boasts of his virtual 10/4 attack manipulation magnet.
This guy doesn't get any credit at all, and although many of you will not agree with me I have one thing to say.
Randy > Robb Cr
Ojibway, Jerry, Lilly and Wardom.
Wardom underrated? I think so. It's conditional (VERY easy-to-get condition) 8/8 SoA card, because if his SoA the damage is protected in most cases. Price reflects right to his usefulness, but he is not mentioned that often, or seen in the field. I wonder why... I blasted myself to position 20. DT few days ago with gheist-jungo having wardom without breaking a sweat.
Dean. it amazes me how many people will disregard him.... with the junta bonus he is a threat and he has it easy getting in that damage with his ability
im with gail Ld on this one, i love her to bits, she is (for me) a staple in my upper decks
Bella ld ~ better than sharon imo. mona with two additional damage and albeit revenge ability, montana still has the likes of spiaghi and ottavia to help with that.
Ralph ~ in the nakata vs zhu tang debates raging over FPC 3* he is often over looked, but he can get through for 5 easy damage (2hko with tsubame!! ) and is definitely better than zhu tang when SoB's everywhere since without his +2 damage bonus zhu tang isn't worth his usual need to pill more than opp, ralph can hang in there with them. SoA out means nakata, no debate.
And ojibway/logan are massively overlooked, but they both hit harder than a flying brick with no fear of DR's. Uranus? Hah, eat 6 damage (or for ojibway 7). sure SoA hurts ojibway but SoA hurts all cards, logan's immune to anything that isn't all stop and there's very few of those hanging around.
I think the majority of characters are rated more or less correctly (disregarding clint value). If a character isn't played as much as others, there is usually a good reason (an exploitable weakness or a better character). However the ones that seem unreasonably under rated are:
Corvus- Ar 8 power and one of the best abilities in the game (+3 pills) Corvus is the perfect flexible bomb/ wall character for Skeelz. He can be played 1st, 2nd or 3rd which is crucial for Skeelz with several Confidence or Revenge characters that can't be played first. I guess he gets overlooked by his low 3 damage and comparison with Smokey. 3 damage is less of a drawback for Skeelz because their strategy is damage control. Besides, +3 pills > +4 damage. As far as vs. Smokey, +1 power is completely worth 1 star for a pill manipulator- most longtime Piranas users know that Dahlia is better than Selma by a lot. His flexibility makes him easily the top 4* choice for Skeelz.
Onyx- I'm not sure why Onyx gets overlooked because he compares easily with other staple 3* SOA characters like Anita, Yookie and 3* Yayoi. He has 1 less damage than Deea but his damage cuts through most damage reduction. He's certainly one of the most usable Vortex for a 1/2 deck and most decks are happy to add another SOA character.
Hystrix- Hystrix on turn 1 gaps as much as Nyema without Fury. for 3*, a 7 power, 8 gap that mostly cannot be reduced is way above the curve. Hystrix is #2 or 3 3* Jungo behind Nyema and Radek
Ojibway was kinda overrated, actually. When they first switched elo to 14 life, ojibway was staff banned nearly every week because people thought he'd rule 14 life like sigma. Then they stopped staff-banning him, people tested him and found out he sucks even with his 2 extra elo damage, and now he's pretty much ignored
Corvus is underrated because it's extremely difficult to use him correctly without wasting pillz. If the opponent guesses correctly it's practically game over...and the job becomes that much harder when faced against a Robb Cr / Mona / Nellie / Dreen type of card. Even against a Yookie, it's dangerous to pill more than 3 because you'll be doing 1 damage...
Darth from gheist is overlooked quite a bit because of his base 3 power. But what he lacks in power he makes up for in damage. With three stars he can pill for pill win against most 4 and 5 stars, and is only weakened by SOA. Most go to Dolly for their 3 star gheist, and most of them greatly overpill her. While you 6 or 7 pill Dolly for her 2 poison, I'll save my pills and KO long before that poison takes affect. Aside from that 3 power, Darth is a great card.
