> I want to talk about Daily tournaments, the only tournament with no rules, no restrictions and get's no attention.
> I'd like to start by saying tons of people have complained about this specific tournament for many reasons, some being time wasters, others being about running into people who are only doing the tournament to ruin it for others and finally, complaining about the 2 clans who dominate in this tournament, Uppers and Montana.
> This tournament has flaws, and a lot of them.
> Daily tournaments are the only tournaments which can purposely be ruined by other players, it's also the only tournament which contains no specific room for itself, it's also a place where any deck is allowed *But* to come 1st you'll have to use a specific one which will in turn put you at a constant disadvantage to those just playing for 'fun'.
> After placing in top 3, top 5 top 10 and even coming 1st in this tournament it's clear that not much skill is required in this but more luck, luck on who has the less time wasters, the less 40* crushing decks and the less people purposely ruining the game for others in the tournament.
> I really feel there is no argument on this discussion, but any input you have will also be taken into consideration.
> What do I hope to become of this? For the staff to completely rework DT's.
> Finally, I've posted this in general because it's the only topic anyone comes to, plus it's a general problem.
I don't bother with the daily tournaments because of all the time wasters. Sure, you get them in Survivor and Fight Club and ELO but at least you can afford to take your time, there's no "time limit" like in DT or Deathmatch. And there we go again, luck. You mention it a lot on your Youtube videos and I completely agree with you, a lot of it is down to luck. Some might say you can try to make luck go your way with some strategic playing but at the end of the day....it's mostly luck.
The higher place users use decks around 26-28* so we get constant low star hands and we can take the one advantage we have and win against new players with high star count hands, I would give this advantage up to get rid of time wasters, stupidly OP hands, and people purposely ruining the tournament by stalling.
There is some hands that aren't win able for a DT deck, I'll give an example ;
That hand right there for most DT players in a loss, so what do we do? Throw 12 pills on the lowest star card to get the most points out of the loss, but why should we have to play vs them type of hands? When we have to play with specific decks to even place in this tournament.
Sure, you get the odd new player running 3 leaders, that's great, but is that really skill or just taking advantage of a new player?
So why don't we use 40* decks to counter? Well then we get no points, so we don't place, the tournament is so messed up and needs a real fix.
This tournament to me doesn't feel competitive, just luck based. You get people who constantly place in top 10, and let me tell you, that can be done by anyone if you play fast enough, but playing fast isn't skill, and coming first requires you to be lucky you don't get a time waster, constant 40* decks and all the other things I've mentioned.
By the way, that's not all aimed at you soundtrack lol
Oh and hey MihoAnsatsu, nice to hear you watch my vids
I really only did DT's when there is a chace to win something e.g Scott Ld or Kolos figerine.
I can't really think of how they could change it without it being a completely different format inwhich case it would be easyer to make a new room and keep the DT's as they are.
Well, lately i met many dt staller, but it isnt something new in ur
I am 90% agree with bison, nowadays dt requires 75% luck, 15% good deck, 5% timing and 5% fortune XD
but i hope UR wont "erase" DT (just like tombola),since for non-credit player,dt is main earning
Aside many lack and monotonus factor from dt nowadays, some people still need it,maybe some addendum required to make dt "shines" again (like more harsh penalties,dt elo room, less time to finish round,or point based on timing )
Well when I say rework I mean you'll still have Daily tournaments but they will be different. (Obviously lol)
What would I suggest?
-Daily tournaments have there own room max 30* deck.
-Specific cards banned, the community & staff would decide that.
-Time on turns reduced, the starting time before 100 points is simply to long.
-If you time out twice in the same tournament your kicked out of the room until tournament is over.
You'd need to increase the prize pool of Daily tournament because a new room would mean not as many players playing and the prizes wouldn't be worth gaining.
Unless the room provides to be the best room in the world in which case just leave the prize give outs as they are.
