So today my brain decided to give me an idea through a dream.
So there's this thing called Skulltag, which is basically Doom II, except improved and less buggy. I know it's easily moddable, because I've seen that game called Megaman 8-Bit DeathMatch which has nothing Doomy left in it
And I thought about making some big mod for Urban Rivals. I have no clue how to do anything yet. And before I even start learning and asking for help with modding/spriting/music/mapping, I am making this thread to ask for opinions
So the basic idea is:
-Meant to be played with teams
-There are classes by default. Each class has a clan, a unique primary weapon (some classes have better melee instead), secondary clan weapon (Jungo's bananas, Skeelz books, Freaks cake etc.) and melee weapon. Also abilities based on their UR counterparts. I already designed the purpose of every single one
-If there are 2 or more people from the same clan in your team, the bonus is activated.
-Ammo is quite low by default, so melee has to be used often (else there would be no reason to use it, and in my mind, Power=Melee damage)
-First set of maps is based on the battle backgrounds of each clan
-The only fitting pick-ups I could think of are hearts and pillz
There's a lot more to be said, but, there's character limit for a reason
Thoughts? Questions? Willing to help?
Also, remember: I'm not promising anything. For now it's just an idea, I just want to know if I should even bother trying
