There had been a lot of rumors as to why there were no staff banned cards in the last elo tournament and the most intriguing rumor is that the staff will change the perma ban list. i was thrilled by this but seeing the current format, there hadn't been any change. this made me quite pissed since a change in the perma ban list would help reduce the number of cards that i consider perma ban material that are wasting player votes and it will also give the clans that are, nowadays rarely used in elo, a chance to be better.
here are my proposed cards that should move on the perma ban list: rowdy, wee lee removed, toro and spyke add, ghumbo and lou could move or stay (not quite sure of these two). i'm looking to argue and not to have a pointless bashing with someone.
''That is why "he is a virtual" IS NOT VALID. They are completely different bonuses, so PLEASE for the love of god stop comparing them.''
Virtually is Valid, look up virtually's meaning and tell me them to bonuses aren't the most similar out of all the bonuses.
What wouldn't be virtual would be comparing 2+ life and - 2 power, *they* are totally different bonuses.
And please, your maths proves how similar these bonuses are, so don't bring simple maths into it again, you end up with slightly different results which means there completely different to one and other?
Black car - red car, same car, same make, different colour, totally different or Virtually the same car just different colour?
This argument has been since the dawn of time and it's just because people have something to prove and have internet pride. If everyone was like this virtually would never exist because no matter how similar something was someone would always be there to point out the technical difference.
@M-Bison, if you consider -power and +power from a mathematical standpoint, -power is better than +power, given that the original power of the card is above its own minimum.
e.g. Olga vs Serena. Both are a 'virtual' 10power, but in a case against Isatis, for example.
Olga (7x pillz) = Isatis (8x pillz)
Serena (9x pillz) = Isatis (10x pillz)
Naturally, anything below these points are Olga/Serena advantage.
To use a more extreme example, Platinum (4power, -3power min 1) and Ivana (7power) vs Kenny (6power)
Platinum (x pillz) = Kenny (2x pillz)
Ivana (6x pillz) = Kenny (7x pillz)
If Platinum uses 6 pillz, Kenny needs 12 to match. If Ivana plays 6 pillz, Kenny needs 7 to match. (Attack-wise)
While Platinum is a 'virtual' 7power, he is actually much better when there is a overall power advantage.
tl;dr -power is better if you have the advantage, +power is better if you don't.

Actually, while Lou and toro was unbanned and wee lee was still perma banned, ulu watu was one of the most commonly played clans in ELO. They were a great solid choice that provided a great counter to Roots/GHEIST seen in 70% oh hands. Now the meta has changed and AS and GHEIST are the most popular, and ELO is much harder to build counter decks now with so much anti SOA introduced. Wee lee is not needed to be unbanned.
Mono piranas were also extremely common and I find to be the most boring of match ups. I hope they receive ANOTHER perma ban
@ tesg, thank you for reinforcing what i said, but in a much more concise way.
@ bison: sure, i understand your point. The bonuses are "alike" in the sense that they are opposite. But my "maths" prove that they are COMPLETELY different, as opposites so often are. 4 pilling vs 6 pilling is a HUGE difference. Pussycats and la junta are opposites in a sense, but you don't see people calling cherry "a virtual 8/4." and just because askai causes a 9 life gap doesn't mean he's "a virtual 7/9." By saying "virtual blah blah blah" you're showing a lack of a grasp of the finer mechanics of the game, and when some abilities/bonuses are better than the other.
As for my internet pride, i don't care. at all. if i'm wrong, i'll admit it. But 4 pillz =/= 6 pillz, nor is it remotely close. and the examples go across the board
Meaning of virtually.... ''Almost entirely''
and this is all were trying to say, of course -2 opp power is better, (unless against someone like montanna) But +2 power is very similar, as all they are doing is changing a cards power by 2.
It doesnt make a card weaker by saying its virtually an 8/6 (with bonus - striker) compared to 6/6 with -2 opp power min 1. So get over it
Also please stop posting really long posts comparing a robb Cr to a card like wee lee. Its pointless, we get it. Ok? Cool.
I love how people how posted maths to try and hold up the argument.
It's clear you don't know what virtual means. As Soundtrack as said, it's meaning is similar to 'Almost entirely' So you pointing out the difference between 2+ power and -2 power proves what? They aren't entirely the same, which isn't what virtually means anyway?
Why would you say cherry is a 8/4? Make's no sense.
And yes you could call Askai a 7/9 if you wanted, I'm not going to bash you for it. 9/10 times it won't matter that he has only done 7 damage and 2+ life, only in extreme cases will it ever matter. Yes there is a difference between 9 damage and 7 damage+2life but they still do exactly the same thing in terms of life gap.
And again the maths proves nothing other than -2 power is better in some cases and +2 power is better in others, I didn't say they were the same bonuses did I? I said virtually.
Please go look up virtually. Then you can stop your argument comparing little differences.
