I posted this in the main forums, but I wanted to post this here to share with y'all.
Quick description of some of the new abilities this clan offers: :
Protection: Attack-I've seen this mentioned before, but I do think it's really due. This kind of protection will help deal with dominance of attack manipulation to a certain degree. Plus, I think it fits the Celestial's "Above normal problems" feel I'm going for.
Martyr-This is like defeat, only instead of the effect happening immediately, it grants an ability to the next character you play. For example, Martyr: +2 Power would grant +2 power to the next character played.
Negate- Negate is like the other side of protection. Basically, instead of protecting your character from minus abilities, it prevents your opponent from benefiting from + abilities. So, for example, Rowdy against a Negate: Attack would lose his massive +20.
Clan Name: Celestials
Description: "Utopia, the finest resort in all the skies. With it's sprawling cloud fields, luxury service, and comfortable atmosphere, what person wouldn't look forward to it after life? Unfortunately, recently the explosions and gunfire coming from down below are causing their customers to leave in waves. Angered and irritated, Michael, his crew, and their loyal customers have decided to come down to the battle and take care of this nuisance, once and for all."
I'll be posting some cards soon enough, tell me what you think of this thus far though, thanks!
Clan Leader- Michael
5* 8/7 Ability- Protection: Power and Damage
(He looks like a tall angel with brown hair, a polo shirt, and white pants. He has an irritated expression on his face, and is wielding a large sword seemingly made out of light)
"Running an After Life Luxury Resort isn't easy. You have to cater to the customers every whim, make sure the pool's clean, keep track of all the staff...and it doesn't help with the constant noise from down below ruining the ambiance! Well Michael has had enough of it, and is ready to fly down there and kick some butt. He's gotta do it fast though, he has a business to run after all."
Ghan
4* 6/5 Ability: -4 damage, minimum 0
(He looks like a thin, bald, and bespectacled darker skinned man, and he is in the middle of throwing away a burger with a disapproving look.)
"Nutrition is important, even after death. That's what Ghan keeps saying anyway. A lot of the customers and employees say he's just trying to justify his position as Staff Nutritionist, but Ghan is not going to let such petty words get to him. Once he heard Michael was recruiting people to fight down below, Ghan was one of the first to sign up to go. After all, how else was he suppose to make sure everyone was staying on their diet?"

Love the martyr idea. negate and protect:attack are too strong.

Martyr:+2 power/ +2 dam then u play Michael for Epic Win. Michael has Protection: Power, Damage, & Atk making it quite op. especially w/ a martyr card before it.
I think -4 DAM min 0 is quite strong, especially if its: do 4 - 0 Dam or take 5. Either lower DAM, lower reduction, or raise min. My idea would be 7/3 -3 DAM min 0, i think tht would be a less op

This is a great idea, but your cards would have to be substantially weaker. And Ghan would be elo banned within seconds. -4 min 0? and he is a 6/5 holy smokes. I would say go for -1 power or plus 1 dam. + and - 2 is not going to ever make it.

I like the clan name and the general idea of the clan, but not so much the bonus and the characters need a number tuning
not a big fan of negate and protection: attack, but i like the concept of martyr, it has potential, but i think Inherit is a better name for the ability
Woah, I didn't expect this to rise form the ashes randomly. I'm glad it did though.
Okay, to address some of the concerns y'all have. First of all, regarding michael. I forgot I changed him to an 8/7 for some reason. I have him written down as an 8/6, so I don't know if that was a typo or what. Regardless, do y'all think that Michael would be more balanced as an 8/6? The way I see it this makes him weaker in terms of damage to both Dregn and Cortez, but makes him much more stable. What do you guys think?
Also, with Ghan. I was trying to make him balanced compared to Uranus, but in hindsight trying to make him similar to a card that gets banned every other week wasn't wise. What if he was a 3* 5/4 with -3 damage, min 0? Then he'd be a Slyde copy with a lower min but without the sweet +12 attack. Do y'all think that'd be better balanced?
And, I would like to address the people who are saying negate and prot. attack are too strong. Could you elaborate on that opinion, because I don't see it.
Thanks for the feedback you guys, I really do appreciate it.
New cards:
Joan: Even though she's young for a Celestial, only a couple hundred years old, Joan pulls a lot of weight in Utopia. Being in charge of security and law enforcement in Utopia is a big task, but Joan was certainly up for the challenge. In fact, when Michael started recruiting people, Joan signed up without a moment's hesitation. Now if only she could stop dying in the middle of combat..."
(She looks like a young girl, around 19 of age, in a full suit of armor wielding a large steel sword in an aggressive attack position.)
3* 7/4 Ability- Martyr: +2 Power
Joan is cool because it allows you to give your opponent the decision of either letting a decent amount of damage in, or giving your next card a significantly better chance of getting through. I think she's still balance though because 4 damage is something they very easily could just take and come back from, and she's useless the last round, ability-wise
David: In life David was known for his strategic attitude in battle, and his foolproof war tactics. In death, however, with no war to fight in, David's more Lecherous side had started to come out, much to the Chagrin of Utopia's women population. Michael hopes that this fight will help bring David back to the man everyone knew and everyone loved."
(He looks like a man in a full suit of armor, blade drawn, with a copy of an adult magazine in his other hand. He is ready to go to war.)
3* 7/3 Ability- Support: +4 Attack
