With 22 clans to choose from, its hard to decide which is best. To further complicate things, some clans have similar effects. So my question is...
What makes one clan better than another?
La Junta, Jungo, Fang Pi Clang, and Berzerk, Freaks, Pussycats-all separate the distance between your life and your opponents life by 2.
So Why choose Berzerk over Fang Pi Clang, or La Junta over Jungo? All i can think of is:
La Junta/Fang Pi Clang
- I have no ideas
Pro- Reduce damage abilities wont effect the health taken from your opponent
Con- Bonus can't kill
Pro- +2 life means you can take more damage, without being KO'ed
Con- Doesn't help KO the opponent
Pro- Will damage enemy 2 life EVERY turn. I.E. Fang Pi Clang only do the extra 2 damage if they win each round, Freaks only need to win once to take the opponents life every turn.
Con- minimum of 3 life
Pro-1 or 2HKO's are harder for the opponent to achieve….negates fury
Con-Only helps if you lost the round, all others help if you win

It seems bonuses don't matter so much as the ability tendency's of clans.
I ask in the forums, maybe because I'm lazy to read EVERY single card of EVERY single clan and determine which clans have abilities I like, but mostly because I don't want to spend real money on this game. Thank you for your input though .

play and see what your opp use. esp high level player would use staples from the clan
if your opp use all stars, what kind of cards do they use? what is the impact?
without this knowledge, you will not gonna know each clan characteristic
I answered your first 6 clans. I'm willingly to help, but not all of them..
everyone through this process, even for people who buy credits, so start learning those cards
by looking at each card, you will build a database inside your mind. which one is dangerous which one is not
you cannot say all freaks would be more dangerous than la junta because they can do continuous 2 damage. in fact freaks is one of the most underused clan in the game
or you can say oxen is dangerous (7/3 -3 opp life), but some people prefer rubie (5/6 SOA) over oxen. you can only gain this knowledge by playing
I'll do a summarised one:
La Junta vs Fang Pi Clang
La Junta: Great damage, strong abilities, lots of support. however low power, over-reliance of abilities (Isatis & Trish)
FPC: Great base power, abilities clearly help win rounds, resistant to SoA, however low damage hard to 2HKO without fury.
Bangers vs Ulu Watu
Bangers: decent damage, abilities help win rounds, however low base power (No Banger has 8 base power yet), reliance on clan bonus, weak against DR.
Ulu Watu: Exceptionally strong base power, however few useful abilities, incredibly low damage.
High power, great combat ability helps to win rounds, incredible bonus, however bonus is unstackable making Mono-Freaks undesirable, Minimum of 3 is easily overcome by high damage, lack of proper DRs in Freaks (Soushee was very popular in the past but no more)
Sakrohm: decently strong power, incredibly effective against DRs, great in making life-gap, however destroyed by SoA, low base damage.
Montana: Reliable power/damage, but abilities either conditional (Edd, Avola etc) or not always used (Desmond)
Uppers: Great damage, great abilities, however weak to SoA, not many cards effective against DR (Recent Kazayan release exception)

@Amber - agreed. Fang Pi Clang wins rounds easier than la Junta but have lower damage generally. La Junta usually is better in mono (though killed by SoA) and Fang Pi Clang is better in half decks and is pretty much SoA-resistant because of high base power. Fang Pi Clang is hurt more by SoB because of lower base damage.
