Having to start every week with 1000 elo means you´ll spend half the week reaching your usual level.
With the reduced number of adversaries, things are getting worse as time goes on.
People who don´t like to play no random just don´t have time enough to get to the top ranking places.
As it happens more players quit random, making things more difficult for the rest who are driven to quit.
Cutting 100 elo points for both systems would give a fair chance for random players as the benefits of not playing would last just one week, with players dropping for 1450 to 1350 in just a week.
The idea to restart at 1000 is probably to have more games but in random it has the opposite effect.
Fair luck for your games
If you mean that top players get a head-start in random at the start of the week, that won't be fair because the person at the top will have a distinct advantage.
For random, luck plays a huge part. As I like to put it, luck can work with you AND against you.
To be fair non-random needs a fair share of luck too, in those 50-50 situations.
I don't understand are you complaining that a new tournament starts each week and all the scores are reset? Surley that is the idea of a tournament some one wins and then you play again? You need this to happen otherwise we couldn't have a vote on crads etc.
I understand that you say there are less people playing random mode but playing non random dosen't force you to play more games. You can get to around 1250 easily playing around 20 games in non random I wouldn't call that a maasive time invesment? Beyond that you will always have to play a reasonable number of games even in random mode.
Very bad idea. The reseting to 1000 means that everyone gets a clan slate and equal chance at the start of the week.
The reason people don't play in random is that it takes nearly all of the skill out of the game as you could get more attack then the opponent but still lose.
