Imperator - Casual Grind
So, since the big ELO discussion brought up the fact that way too many cards in the game never see play because nothing quite measures up to the staples, I'd love to have an "underused card appreciation thread". There are cards out there that you just put into your deck for missions or whatever reason and they won you more matches than any staple and have a special place in your heart.
For me there's a number of them:
1) Baby Q, 4* 6/6 SoB with -2/min 1 DR. You will aways, and I mean always see Ditha, Malicia or even the very underused 7 powered 4* girls and simply not put Baby Q into your deck.
What are you missing on? 6 damage for one pill, or someboy overpilling on a Sob Dr. LOL. Also, likely no freaks poison, lol.
2) Cheep - 8/2 +2 life bonus, stop: -3 dam/ min 1. Well, stop cards are vanilla cards most of the time, and this guy is bonus dependent to boot.
What are you missing on? A bloody annoying 8/4 wall which makes SoA pointless because what SoA means most of the time is no DR. He makes people play stupid - heck, you can actually pill against their SoA and win for ALL damage reduced, making a 4 gap and turning your hand into a 3 rond win one.
Gork - 7/8 SoA bonus with poison self for 2 min/4. XU52 has att manip, Mechakolos is a 1 hit KO. Otherwise people just don't use him enough.
What are you missin out on? Pretty much a bloody honey badger who doesn't give a f**k. Unconditiona 7/8 with SoA? Otherwise he kicks ass.

Skeelz are diffinitely underrated. Well, they did have a lot of problems, what with not really having a bonus and being too al over the place in terms of abilities, but they've been given a solid base of +att, pill manip and defeat cards and now they're actually pretty darn good. Technically, when they came out SoA was hated and feared and everywhere so the developers must've thought that protection was a really strong bonus, so they gave them a lot of conditional abilities (thos were berand new back then). Then it turned out that the bonus was rather non-existant most of the time, and that the conditinal abilities made you both predictable AND sometimes just weren't there, meaning you had vanilla cards who's stats weren't all that great. This has really changed.
As for another underrated card, Orenichi has been fun for me. Vermaire I'm not happy with. Valter Blanco is indeed awesome.

I think the "problem" with the Skeelz is that they have a solid core of staples, and everything else is either useless or just shy of being good. It also doesn't help that there doesn't seem to be a firm vision for what Boostr wants them to be. They seem like an attack manip clan, but they only have three good manipulators (two of which are support), and they also have cards like Sandro, Minerva, and Caelus Cr. They seem like a good pill manipulation clan, but their manipulators are either terrible or conflicted, like Saho and Hemdall. They seem like a good defeat clan, but Eloxia and Hemdall are nukes this clan desperately needs and giving them up is painful.

Tl;dr: Are they underrated? Sure, but they're underrated for a reason.

I think Skeelz have managed to become more focused about what they're good at, and the gameplan I've been using (well in classic, not competitive, but I'm sure you could tweak it for cometitive) is the following: you've got a nice roster of attack manip guys - Dr. Falkenstein, Sasha and Clark. The larger the pill gap gets the stronger these guys get. Then you have Andy Ld and Plunk - 4 dmg is fine and somene pilling to beat them is also fine as it just makes you attack manip guys better. The more small advantages you can wrangle in the initial rounds the more deadly Minerva gets - she's tough to beat, and often futile to beat too. Hemdall is awesome - you don't really have to "give him up", if he hits the opponent will be trying to retailiate through your attack manip guys, if he doesn't, you're upp pills. Finding the right balance among those options and working in Jay + Anton (those two can kill you dead on your own) - there's grounds for a very decent deck which is immune to both SoA and SoB, and can still go 3 rounds against DR.

Oh, they've certainly been getting better, but my collection isn't all that fleshed out yet and I'm missing a number of the cards you're talking about. I am starting to see your point here, and that is an interesting sort of synergy you're talking about.

Florida Jane is another favorite of mine and is often overlooked in favor of Charlie.
Charlie>Florida Jane if hit by SoA or Protect Power.
Florida Jane has 1 less damage and her DR is slightly weaker than that of Charlie. With that said, Charlie is more vulnerable to attack and power manipulation than Florida Jane is and Charlie relies on her bonus more.
I've had more success with Florida Jane than I do with Charlie.

I'm not sure on how often gatuchica is used, but when huracan were relevant, it was zapatino and derby queen, occasionally miss derby queen.
I don't think i've heard much about her even now,but that power reduction is pretty nice.Gotta love that bonus also.
She's certainly no gil in any case, but i think she deserves a spot on the underrated roster.

Someone allready mentioned them, but the following Bangerz seem to be rather good:
Gyro, Raqel and Fifty.

Elke is underrated.
No matter how much you pillz against her, you overpill. She also has solid 2* stats that enables her to pull off upsets.

She is irritating.
I need to run Lucia in a deck for a while to try her out, because I'm not sure how she stands right now.
