Recently, my internet was really slow so I can't play UR properly. So, I decided to conduct a social experiment.
The aim is to have a conclusion on how many market investors would react if a newbie PM'ed them asking for cards. I recently PM'ed people who sell bulk cards in the market, and trying to "beg" a copy from them. I don't really need the card, I just wanted their feedback. Most of the feedbacks were negative, flaming and cursing me like hell. Some even blacklisted me, which is a funny thing lol. Luckily, some were really generous enough that put cards in my private sales that worth even up to 200k/card (you know yourselves, thank you), but I cancelled those private sales to me because I was just aiming for their feedback.
I will still keep PM-ing people to "give me some cards", and after gathering the results that I wanted, I will immediately cease the study.
After that, I will be conducting a lottery for the cards that "I begged" (I'm making sure that I have copies of the cards that I beg), and I will be mentioning the result of the experiment.
I will post the event link after my experiment is over

@Skittish your answer is also a response to my study, thanks! That's what I'm trying to find out, how you players would react to such a situation. I'm not promoting "begging" or something. I just want to get a statistical result on the implication of such action. Well, it's your opinion by the way. This can evaluate how much percentage of the sample would give a positive feedback, and vice versa. Did you even read the reason why I conducted such study? Don't just comment such blabbering when you don't know what you're saying. "Best way to ask people for free cards"? Did I said that I would be generating results of such magnitude? LOL I didn't made a poor choice. Your response was really necessary, and I would like to add it on the summary of findings. Yes, you're right that majority of people would see "asking for cards" a bad thing, but that's what I'm trying to find out, how would they react to such a situation. Did you get the idea? LOL Well, I'm still hoping that even just 40th percentile of the respondents would give positive feedback (giving pieces of advice, etc. instead of bashing/flaming).
Next time, try to improve your comment's thought and idea, so it would look like more reasonable and well-explained enough
You did not have to conduct this 'experiment' though seeing as the general consensus is that asking for cards is bad; so all in all a pretty pointless experiment. All this seems like is you trying to make people look stupid now, so the whole aim of your experiment has diverted to you just arguing with people over it
Why is this pointless? What's why I'm experimenting, because I'm trying to find out the respondents' overall response back-up'ed by statistical data.
@bokneehog majority of them are. And? Just like that? That's why we have Standard Deviation, Regression, Covariance, Variance, etc. in Statistics because we're not just relying on "mere" majority. Just like in price of cards. We speculate that Dounia Cr's price will still keep on rising. But by how many percent? By what time interval? By how fast? A mere opinion by you won't suffice. Every study needs the whole respondents' response to have a reasonable result. As far as I'm concerned 23 people put cards in my private sales, not to mention those who gave me pieces of advice. I don't care if majority dislike beggars. I am trying to pinpoint to WHAT PERCENTILE do they belong and also for the positive respondents, and what are the positive/negative responses.
@Six Nations What general consensus? By how many percent? Why is it pointless? Pointless because you can't do statistics? I'm not trying to make people stupid here, you guys are the ones who's making me stupid. I'm just defending my stance here. If you did not criticize me here, I wouldn't even bother replying to your comment.
Let me be frank. If you don't like what I'm doing here, just ignore this. I'm not going against UR rules here, nor the ones set up by UM_AaaBattery. I only PM'ed people ONCE, with a short sentence. I don't spam them. That's not against UR rules, right? If it was, please comment a link stating that I violated such rule. If you're annoyed, just block me. I don't care. I don't need your cards anyway, just your responses. That would be a nice response for this study. Even your comments above would be really well-appreciated. Thank you guys
You're implying that we are all stupid because we disagree with your experiment.
1) You're not smarter than others because you can perform statistical analysis (I've studied it too, not that it matters)
2) The difference between "the majority" and the analysis you plan on performing is unimportant because the data is useless. I don't understand why you don't use the time, effort and brainpower for something more productive like studying the market, as you referenced above
@bokneehog don't blabber something that I did not imply. You're wrong about 1) and 2) is really easy, you just compute statistical data based on historical value on urdb.kirlad.net, and that's it. Not unlike this study, which needs many respondents to actually gather quantitative results. And thank you for the time. Good luck playing UR!
