I actually really like this deck. I'll have to switch moai to noland (Who no one uses despite him being a better dylan, but meh) and I might use nanook instead of shaun and/or eugene, but it's still awesome. Random question though, why does everyone use shaun or nanook, I don't understand this at all.
Well, Shaun is a 10/5 most round which is godly for a 3* and if you forgot Ulu Watu lacks damage so a 5dmg on a 3* is great..
People uses Nanook with the same reason why people uses Boodile Cr and Tyd, They are basically a wall with or without their bonus but with Nanook, she is a 10/4.
Well , the thing is , people love cards with high power and low stars . See Thormund for example . He can reach 11 power and he's a 2 star ! These cards can really easily counter beasts like Numar or Blaaster Cr , and if they win , good , if they lose , you're not losing much of a damage inflicter , are you ?
In the case of Shaun , he can get one more damage than Nanook on reprisal and Ulu Watu decks don't have much conditional abilities , so putting one isn't bad , which is why using Shaun is also good .
My own two cents... I do like Shaun over Nanook. I realize Nanook has the benefit of being 10 power all the time... but with all the 10 power you can have in Ulu Watu, there's never any pressure to play Shaun in a different round.
I'm like you... I definitely use Noland. And I think attack manipulation on Ulu Watu is gonna work good with Eyrik so I'd definitely make sure to get Mango in there. Dave and Numar will help Mango. Chel. Whatever else you use, you're looking at a pretty dangerous deck. The trick is whatever kinda DR you can fit in there, and what you do with Eyrik when you gotta play him.
