Making a video about UR is fun and will help the game for sure, but there is one problem with it.
With GTA or games like those you have good footage, a lot to talk about, laughter and things you can do.
For ur, however, there is not much what you can do, yeah you can record a DT for 1 hour, but a normal 'youtube' viewer wouldn't really enjoy the game. In ELO the same, you can't record 1000 to 1400 in a single video but making a real serie about UR is kinda boring.
It might work, but I think the youtuber must be great at entertaining and such to make it an success
The thing is that there is not really any urban rival youtubers the only big one xonia does not really promote the game as much as we need to we don't need a dedicated youtuber to play this game and make videos for it constantly even a quick mini intro video to the game would help something like this in nature
@knol(frog)ty I would sub
However I must say that I agree with my guild leader, Puma, to make a video about urban rivals would be like making a video about a picture :/
When playing a match, it seems like most of the time is spent staring at 8 cards, a moving background, and a few flashing words. I think it would take a lot of effort to make a match seem appealing, for example, hardcore editing to make something different happen in the video...
When it comes to gameplay, in urban rivals its not much more than just clicking a card and selecting a number of pillz and watching a battle animation lol
I'd make funny stories about character interactions for each match, to keep the dull factor away from the game, it's how I keep myself from getting to bored with the game when I play it, also some good background music helps
I don't see it as in impossible mission, rather one that just needs a bit more effort to put into play compared to other card games, like HS for example, even there if your opponent plays the rope, the game starts getting boring, maybe if UR would implement some board interaction like in HS, the game would be better, like you would get acid bubbles when clicking something in the GHEIST background, or you can make the blimp from the All Stars background fall if you click it enough...just a thought...each clan background can become an intractable board that you can click around when waiting after the opponent.
@nepata, Xonia has mostly only viewers who play UR themselves, so even if he would promote the game, we wont get any new players because everyone already plays it.
The only point that makes UR 'interesting' to watch is the same as HS, you can try to play the game. Like: What would I do, how could I win, is there a sure win. But other then that it's just a background with cards.
Mainly the youtuber must entertain the viewers otherwise the game wouldnt get that interesting.
