Colossus
@Ez past, here is how it works just to recap.
This is based off a previous thread that asked about Copy Opp. Power and Ambre to come to the conclusion if Base Power is 8, it goes up to 10.
First Noctezumama copies the opponent’s power. That is your base power.
Ambre’s Ability activates first. So it boosts power to +7. That is finalised.
Once the max is met, reductions take place. If a card, say Callie was played, then Noctezumama who had her power boosted by 8 due to Ambre’s ability would end up having only 7 Power.
Likewise if Robb Cr was played you would only have 3 Power after Ambre is played because Maximum does not act as a Protect, even though the reductions indicate that your power is below the maximum.
In UR battle logic, it is beneficial effects first followed by negative effects.
Hope this sheds some insight to your query.

@Piranga it was from reading my post. Dealing with me temporarily lowers people's IQ, it's proven science.

Why screw with the leaders on the last couple of days of the EFC season? Seems like poor planning to me...

This is what I'm talking about - John Doom, for example, was highly disruptive in EFC mode:

I did the same thing. Team: Cancel Opp Pwr Manip+ Skeelz just dominated in low EFC. (Cannot speak for the higher tiers). I think if he had an ability like Nuke (Cancel ALL pwr manip) it would’ve been more fair.
But overall, I enjoy Leader Shifts. Its fun to use trollish cards like an 8 pwr Frank, Brody with 9 damage, or Caelus Cr with -15 pwr min 2. I said this before, but it makes cards with abysmal power/damage not only useable, but good. This time around, I liked Ashigaru the most, even if it meant Cancel Pwr Manip crippled my hand.
