I think the eklore thing is really bad. Most good players know how to play around her and her minimum of 5. That thanks to the now not so new system is actually 6. Her ability becomes absolete the last 2 round and with barely any effect at the first. The most you squeeze out of her is 2 pulls for a 7/7 beatstick without a bonus, that if you happen to get a damage reduser was already weak. Her losing even more to damage redusers will make her unplayable. I know new players and some smurfs want her gone couse she is not that easily reachable and opens the pill plays, but if i am playing a pills clan i would preffer a 5 star cards from it. Arn 1000 is fairly the same but with soa and 3 stars. Timbers was already a very good competitions for her. his stats are superior 9 gap cards were OP in EFC and he has 9 damage, and makes your 3 star cards worth around 4 and modern 4 stard lke absoleum, rhamzey into lady ( that is banned btw, and you ma ysa 2 extra dmg reduction, but considering your otther 3 cards deal 3more dmg you can make the math) You get the point. Just don;t overdo the 4 stars couse even though the 2 stars get a nice boost they suck if you didn;t draw timber.
As for our friend Tuck. Aren't you tired of using him. He is not even that strong to be a reward for losing competitive gameplay. He is good but not OP.
As for kalija 8, As someone gheisting the ladder i kind of envi them or the find. I was happy some SoA clan had a great 5 star.

I'm glad about the roots change. Kalija wasn't a fun card to play and even less to play against, and tuck is a really versatile and "vanilla" card. Floyd needs to be tested because while he's allowed in the most commonly used wop format for instance, other clans also have potent tools that are currently efc banned such as leviatonn, curlix, yookie, etc; and la junta themselves have less options with no 5* and monoclan. It's going to become a staple and most likely banned often by the player if it becomes too threatening anyway.

@minti043, They didn't change Eklore's min. To 6, they changed her dmg to 6. Go look at the card. A min. 6 would have killed the card. 1 less dmg isn't that bad but we'll hafta see...

Would someone explain how the new EFC season works? Is it like the old ELO of the mid to late 2010's? I want to get back into the game, but am at a loss as to where to start.

At the beginning of 2017 they switched the weekly ELO for the EFC format that was made of several leagues (they still are there, now only splitting the players into % for the daily, weekly and seasonal rewards, with Z Palace on top) but back then leagues also had a different format based on the date of release of cards, in Z Palace you could only use the newest 10 cards and LDs of each clan. This was meant for a controlled and "balanced" meta where optimally all clans were as playable but clans had very few variability in the upper league and well, the lower leagues felt like T1 anyway, due to low restrictions. Also players couldn't ban weekly.

The first EFC season was a test one that lasted months and offered some of the most unrewarded and grindy play the game has ever seen. Over time it established monthly seasons with good end prizes and reasonable weekly rewards (also daily boxes), but you always felt the fourth week was the one that mattered the most anyway.

Roughly 4 months ago they switched the 4-week seasons into 2-week ones, keeping the same end of season rewards, thus making it as rewarding with less grinding required. Sometime before this they also ditched the leagues having different formats, in favor of players banning cards weekly and more cards allowed like in old elo. It definitely has its positives in terms of rewards, but i feel like making a top elo on wednesday-thursday is no longer viable for good players, and that the most decisive day is the last.
