Hi all I'm really stuggling at the moment..... Why I have no idea, but it's deck building that im haveing trouble with. And the Formula behind it. I know already I'm making it sound more complicated that it is. Though i know that if you have your deck with more than 30 stars in, you'll score less exp... So I figure around 25-28 i about average...
The reason that i write this message and ask for it to be made a sticky is that I'd like this to be where people can comment on how they build there deck's and the method that they use,and why. So that for when newcomers join and have no idea what's going on or how to build there deck's they can come here and read the comments and suggestions that are left here.....
Plz help to make this work and give ur suggestions and thoughts regarding deck building
Thanks every one covburnboy
For the beginners, keep in mind that 25* and 26-28* are two different classes.
25* = T1/ELO vs 26+ = T2
I have no experience with T2 but I'd suspect some people to not care as much about the exp per round and aim for quick wins and earn more points in the long run by completing more matches. Take care when building your deck.
The following comments are from my experience playing T1/ELO decks.
First things first, there is no "perfect" deck. What really matters is your play style.
Do you like to:
1. Overpower your opponents with a very high power?
High power cards tend to have lower damage so two successful rounds may not deal as much damage as one high damage card. An alternative to High power are cards with attack manipulators which are easier to play with when you're first starting.
2. Make the match short by having high damage cards?
High damage cards tend to have a higher star count and lower power (so you need to pill more). With 25* as a restriction, these decks require more 2* cards which can lead to predictable/weak draws.
3. Play strategically? (ie dragging on the match, scare your opponent etc)
Generally a more balanced deck with a mixture of High power cards, High damage cards, Damage reducers and cards with SOA/SOB.
Some people also employ scare tactics such as Pill manipulators (+/- pillz) and cards that can create a big life gap (1-hit KO cards, +Life cards). You can either use these cards or use them as a decoy to distract your opponent
Hit the 1500 character limit in the last post. I'll just finish it off with some references.
I found this site quite useful in understanding the various types of cards out there:
Tanto's budget deck thread was also very helpful to me in understanding deck structure:
And lastly, post your ideas in this forum... I'm sure there are plenty of people out there willing to help you out.
Thanks for the advice and the links, they are very very usefull. Though i kind of hoped that the guys on here would use this to post they're methods of deck building and why they use that method to help new guys to the game and even the most experienced players if they are having a hard time coming up with new ideas or stratergys
