Possibly a question best answered in the actual event's comments section, but I will answer it here.
Firstly, you won't be able to enter the room if your deck is not in the specified format. Type 1, Type 2 e.t.c.
Secondly, for the rounds which require specific cards that are laid out in the rules, its very easy to tell which cards are 'illegal'.
I've run many events and I've encountered very few instances where one of the players lied about which cards he/she used. It always helps to take a screenshot, just in case you run into this problem. But as this is an event for higher level players, you are rather unlikely to run into such a situation. Each round is structured so that you can easily see which cards belong and which ones don't.
For example: Round 1 has the following rules.
TYPE 2. You start each round with 15 pillz and 60 life. Deck MUST be 26*s or more. You can ONLY use cards with poison abilities/bonuses, Damage reduction abilities/bonuses and Life abilities/bonuses. Bridget and Vholt are allowed.
So if there is not a card with atleast one of those particular abilities or bonuses, it is 'illegal' for that particular round. At the level this event plays at, few players make mistakes. On the one-off occassion one does, most are quick to raise their hand and apologise.
I DO run many lucrative events and it is in the players best interest to abide by the rules. All those that haven't, HAVE regretted it.
I hope this answers your question.
