You must have noticed a big change it the battle room list...
A new game mode has appeared in Urban Rivals: Deathmatch mode.
We wanted to offer you a kind of super fast mini DT with a limited number of players.
The DM points rules are different with several tricks inspired by Modern Warfare 2 => persecution, revenge, serial victories, etc.
It's still a beta for the moment. The goal is to do a sort of "life size" test and see how it goes, what would be relevant to add in the ranking, etc.
Know glitches :
We have noticed that there was the grey screen glitch in the flash if you expire while selecting your pillz. Just refresh the page.
It will be fixed very soon.
Complete rules, rankings, messages in the feed, special missions, division system to group players together according to their level.
Please, share your thoughts and opinion (no off-board posts please)
We raised the limit to 20 peoples while we are working on the delays to find opponent and the grouping stuff, we'll certainly lower it when it smoother.
Our top priority are to fix bugs and delays of the new mode, then we'll work on the other feature of it
Some weird things happen at times when the twenty minutes is over and if you're still in battle. I get kicked off the battle and then it puts me back into it with "UNDEFINED" written everywhere. In the end though, everything works out fine points-wise.
Oh and the time-out bug is probably the most abundant (and annoying) one around at the moment (unless you've fixed it).
I just won a DM before because i played against 1 person, i won, he lost. Then it ends up we were the only 2 people in the death match room. So he left the room, and i was the only one in the DM with 50 points. There was still 16 minutes after our match with me being the only one in the room. I waited, and obviously no one else can join this certain death match. So in the end i won the DM with only playing 1 match and being on 50 points. Easy way to win a DM eh?
Another annoying aspect is the -10 bonus that you sometimes get for winning (I'm not sure why yet). I have played a tournament in which I equaled the same amount of wins and losses as second place, but with an additional 25 point loss too. But thanks to these bonuses I somehow ended up 1 point behind him. I think the bonuses are a little unnecessary and a little bit pointless but I may be missing a crucial bonus strategy element.
"division system to group players together according to their level."
I dont really like this, too, because the level of the player does not respresent the skill, or the deck! So i think that it makes no sense to group up players according to their level. If u reach level 100 only by using bots or evolving cards you are not a good player to my mind.
I like the new way of making exp in the Deathmatch. 150 XP is great!
