A large number of you turned out to vote for Miss Clint City 2010 and you chose the ultra sexy All Stars representative, who finished ahead of Tula and Lucia. So, another big well done to Miss Jessie and thank you all for taking part.
To celebrate her victory, we’ve created a Miss Jessie card that is now available in the shop’s packs.
I’ll address my opposition as a whole and then individually
First off, I’m not some kind of guerilla post-feminist activist. I just think that women should be portrayed as something more than a sexual object for men. I don’t think that’s too much to ask. Please don’t go “Well look at Endora or Beverly!” because what I mean is a normal/attractive woman. 10 and 11 year olds shouldn’t have to only have the two extremes of very ugly and insanely sexy/revealing/slutty offered to them.
@Force Majeure I’m not saying it necessarily offends me. A better term would be, “sickens me at how chauvinist it is.” I still like the game in of itself. I don’t know about you, but I sure as hell don’t play UR/Soul Calibur/Dead or Alive for the characters. I play for the gameplay. I can dislike parts of something without swearing off of it entirely.
@Signomi Don’t take this TOO personally, but you are by far the most off topic and rambling of my opponents. Are you seriously comparing UR to Sports Illustrated swimsuit edition? I don’t know about you, but I have a feeling that they were made for different reasons. Hmmm… oh yeah I remember now. UR is, according to Euzebe, a “family game” while SI is soft porn. In my book at least, those two things fall under different categories when it comes to what can be shown. Also, when did I say everyone in UR is a pervert?! That’s so obviously not true, and I would never make a blanket statement like that.
My point about Pussycats is that they’re supposed to be, in essence, a women’s rights group. Yet they have characters stripping and being sex objects. I mean, yeah Ella is a good non-whore example, but look at Charlie, Muze, Britanny, Baby Q, Clara, Candice, Ditha, Wanda, Yayoi, Alice, Dolores Boss, Emma, and Tania. Next time you write to me, actually read what I said, because much of your post is a tangent that is unrelated to my point.
@Elissa My point is more so that there is no diversity in this game. As I said before, UR is for the most part at two extremes. Advertisements and porn have (I would like to think) different goals then UR. Comparing UR to an advertisement at say, Victoria’s Secret, is just a tad ignorant.
What's this? Direct quote from Dweezil.
''@Signomi Don’t take this TOO personally, but you are by far the most off topic and rambling of my opponents.''
Opponents? So you're treating your argument like a game? Attention?
And btw, please check out the Pussycat's bio.
''Feminists are a thing of the past. Make way for the reign of Double X, XX power! For these hot-blooded women, men are nothing more than a means to satisfy their desires. The Pussycat revolution is here and they’ve got their claws out! And to gain influence in government circles, the Pussycats are quite prepared to strike below the belt…in more ways than one!''
First sentence pretty much contradicts everything you've said.
