So I started awhile back and never actually got into the game until last night, unfortunately in one night I've managed to level up all my cards and now I'm "stuck." I'm mostly wondering if there's any way I can continue playing and actually have some fun without having to pay. Because I find it useless to buy any common cards with the points I've built up, working to get an uncommon card would take me ~118 more games...for one card. I will admit that this is probably the cheapest web based game I've seen so far, but if you can't pay the money, there's almost nothing keeping this game interesting. Working up a strategy and a good deck? I never even got there, how come this game was already over for me before I realized how to play well?
To play ELO, you will need to either buy credits or play REALLY WELL with the cards you have to finish high in tournaments to win Clintz.
The game is designed to require you to buy credits to be competitive in ELO or the Daily Tournaments. All the good online games require some cash outlay...
I dont find winning hard without purchasing credits... only purchased once thats all and all i got were bad cards
you can buy kinda good cards with very little ctz
miranda and beentenka, are good at 350 ctz each
just buy one card at a time, and maybe collect clans such as junkz, sentinels, la junta or fang pi clang bacause their bonus increase attack
if you need some good decks to play then there's a thread on that in the strategy/advice section of forum
In order to get those two cards you mentioned I'd have to play at the bare minimum 70 games. Last night I started playing and quickly got my cards to max level, and that was only 30 battles. There's no motivation, no goal to achieve while playing. Sure I can countdown as I get closer to that one card, but that's all it is, ONE card. I understand every game these days deals with cash and buying yourself a quick win to make yourself feel better about yourself, but why would I consider buying cards when after one day this "trial" run has just been filled with disappointment? Sure you could have a little more fun if you paid for the cards, but there's so little progress with the cards I got to convince me it's worth my money.
Maybe if I had been given say 16 common cards instead of 8, from there I could customize my deck a little, find it's strengths and weaknesses, and trade for cards to make my deck stronger. As it is, I'm stuck with these 8 cards, there's very little I can do about making my own deck (besides play for days and days gaining uncommons one at a time). This game isn't so much about leveling cards up, but instead mixing and matching them together to create a thorough deck, you don't even TOUCH on that idea if you don't pay.
And getting to level 20 may seem easy for those who've bought cards and stumbled upon a rare or two, but for those that have a deck solely of common cards is going to have a VERY difficult time achieving a level 20 rank. As it is I'm finding it difficult to beat seniors around level 11-14, I can only imagine how tiresome it'd be to get to level 20 purely on losses.
I was able to vaguely make a deck without creds (basically montana)
if you use the right tactics then usually you win
with lvl 1-15 maybe 16, they *almost* always put 3 pillz on each card so keep that in mind when you play high damage cards
maybe put 6 pillz on high damage cards so you can win easily
I haven't read too many guides on strategy and what not, but I do know some good tactics, at least for my level. I have a pretty good win ratio, but that's not too difficult at my level either. Even getting common cards requires lots of patience, and when I lose to someone with a full uncommom/rare deck and have them brag afterwards, it's disheartening. Most people give up after this point, at least I'm trying...right?
