I would like to know what you guys think on imbalanced decks, like for example: a deck made out of 3 cards from one clan, and 5 from another, instead of the usual 4 cards from one and 4 cards from another.
I also have an example: deleted
This kind of deck has taken me near 1300, I ran out of time and didn't make it to the 1300 and higher tier. Its worked wonders for me, now I wanna know, does it work for others as well? And with which clan/s does it work the best? I find the Pussycats an option because they dont have too much good cards.
Post your thoughts and other successful presets with this kind of build!
4/4 Splits are typically better, It presents better odds of every card in your hand having a bonus. There are some exceptions on occasion, and I got 1300 once with a gheist deck with a double-splash of Uranus and Sigma. I'd say it's typically best to stick to 4/4 but imbalance is occasionally okay.
This very common in T2 where decks are frequently 4 cards from a clan, a leader, and then three from another. The real trick is to find 3 cards that are good without their clan bonus. That gets into the topic of "splash" cards like Spiaghi, Lehane, Etc that are awesome on their own.
In elo you mostly see 4/4 splits, however 6/2 splits are all so seen because it guarantees that you will get your bonus for atleast one clan (this is basically a double splash) 5/3 splits are undesirable because the smaller half has a bad chance of getting their bonus.
5/3 is fine to me because both clans have a decent chance of getting their bonus - as long as the cards you're using are fine without the bonus. 6/2 is less preferable because then there's a larger chance of having 3 cards from the majority clan and 1 from the minority. 7/1 works for a lot of people (splash in Uranus, Spiaghi, Chiara, or whatever else), but that's not really what your'e referring to.
For 5/3, I've seen a lot of decks using Pussycats, Sakhrom, and Freaks as the 3, since the bonus is often not as important (Yayoi, Sigma, Olga, Wanda, Jautya, Bogdan, etc). I'd recommend against using Montana, All Stars, and Uppers as the 3, since they rely greatly on their bonus.
