I am still rather new to the game and would really like some comments on the deck I am currently using for T1 Tourneys and Deathmatch. Aim of the deck is to speed games up - even if that means slightly lower winning percentages. I got a budget of ca. 15.000 clintz which I could spend on improvements, in case anyone got a useful suggestion. Really expensive cards are our of reach, though.
Chan, Kinjo, Lost Hog and Sakazuki
Drummond, Gus, Lola, Melanie
Sasuki --> Yumi
And I would stick to a Fang Pi Full deck... sell the Bersek cards now and get clintz -- they will tend to drop in price until they are almost out of the new bloods decks. Use the clintz and get yourself:
Zhu Tang, Yumi, Chan, Nataga, Zinfrid, Tsubame (or Kuei), Windy Mor, and splash Uranus (or get splash Spiaghi so as to make room for Fei).
Thanks for the feedback!
Are you sure, that a DR-splash is more effective than a leader in a monodeck? Or possibly both? That would leave me short on stars, though.. Also I like the possibilty of one-shotting the opponent: It makes a nice threat and forces focus on defending. With your suggested deck that possibility would be lost, as only Zinfrid would be eligible of doing that - but only when paired with Timber who isn't in the deck...
Going to buy Yumi, now - looks promising
I just tried to imagine a mono-deck like you suggested, but which would still be able to 1hit-ko the enemy. There's a serious pressure on cards' levels, to remain below 26 stars. The limited selection of 2* cards in Fang Pi is no help either. This is what I came up with (didn't buy it to try it out):
Kinjo, Lost Hog, Chan, Yumi, Sakazuki (not that I love him - there just aren't that many 2*s...), Ashigaru (Leader), Spiaghi (Montana) and Ella (Pussycat - another DR-Splash as an eightth [How does one write that correctly?! 8th] card was needed.)
It would leave the player definitely with a hand full of 2*-cards every now and then, which would be nearly impossible to win with. I don't think mono-Fang Pi and the concept of one-shotting fit well together - but I don't want to leave that possibility behind, yet.
Kinjo and Lost Hog aren't good enough cards to justify five two star cards with Ashigaru. Actually, 3 five stars and 5 two stars in general is a bad idea, as you're more likely to draw a bad hand as opposed to a good one.
Kinjo is probably the second worst card to attempt for an OHKO, as he gets stopped by DR, SOB, and SOA; most OHKO cards only fall victim to two of the three listed impediments. Lost Hog, at a lowly five power, is also difficult to pass. Fang Pi is more of a 2HKO clan.
The possible deck(s) suggested by el gran gordo seems good, but I don't know anything.
I really didn't mean to disrespect his effort / your effort, el gran gordo! I hope it didn't seem like that! It's very nice that you all are trying to help me out! I just tried to adapt the propositions without changing the concept too much - and I failed at it .
If Fang Pi is more designed toward 2HKO - is there another clan, that I would be better off, with?
I just noticed the Bangers LD card being available by missions, which seems like it is worth playing for it. Too bad I can't afford more than one deck at a time, yet - so I'll have to sell this one.. . Does any of you have a suggestion as to which clan works well with Bangers? I'd guess one of those 'minus enemy attack'-clans would be good, to play Bangers cards with high pillz and Montana / Uppers / ... with a low amount. Then again this thread is prove enough that i shouldn't trust my guesses :F.
