Well i jus switched my deck to the nightmares and ive got some what of a strategy going on and it works from time to time....just need some insite as to how to use them efficiently...i use kenny, pan, glorg, eadh, edwin, nerfeniti, azgroth, phyllis, and i have a sargh in reserve
Something to think about get rid of eadh. I think for a 2* mawpin gives alot more options and its affordable another card to think about getting is azel her poison ability really helps out and if dudly is still available in the legendary missions i would jump on that right away.1 more is orlok if used right he can take out a heavy damange card because there figureing you just want the 2 life points so they dont pill up ...just some food for thought hope it helps
I don't like mono nightmare, they have no useable damage reducers/pill manipulators/defeat cards, they are only good for winning rounds and they guzzle pillz as a result of this. The exceptions are orlock and dudley ld but i wouldn't bother with either. Good partners for them as a half are attack manipulators/damage reducers/pill manipulators/defeat cards. They help to save pillz or can be used to effectively loose a round so give you two sides to your deck. A thourough stratergy has cards you intend to win with and cards you intend to loose with. low star roots damage reduction or pussycats bonus or vortex pill manipulation all compliment them realy well.
I'm not a Pan fan. I run the same preset as you but I trade Glorg + Pan for Timber + Mawpin. Timber + Kenny is obviously a great draw but also turning Phylis to 7/5, Mawpin to 8/5, Eadh to 6/4, Azgroth to 8/5, Nerfeniti to 5/7! and Edwin to 5/6 is beastly savage. My biggest concern is running 3 power reducers (Azgroth, Edwin and Eadh) since more and more presets have an out these days to power reduction.
As far as strategy, there's a lot of strategy in using Kenny and choosing whether to Fury or not. Although generally Kenny + Fury is almost like winning 2 or 3 rounds, sometimes you can't spare the extra pills and you need them to win a 2nd round. Generally, the earlier to use Kenny, the more likely he is to connect, so use him early unless you are just using him as a decoy. Count up the damage on your opponent's side vs. your side and figure out which characters need to win to come out ahead.
Know your character's numbers. For instance, Edwin is 5 and reduces to 4, so you want to make sure to save 3-4 pills to optimize him- if you keep 4 pills for Ewin, he trumps your opponent if they go under 5 pills so keep that in your calculations.
With Azgroth, 6 pills on him trumps your opponent if they go 8 or under.
Glorg and Eadh pretty much need to go pill for pill, more or less.
Don't pill randomly and waste pills. Pill strategically- justify each amount. You'll be able to mise a lot more matches than otherwise.
Recognize when an enemy character is simply going to roll your characters and roll with it (for instance, Chiara, Bogdan). Don't try to play around those type of characters- you'll end up a lot worse off. Recognize the match ups that you are bound to lose no matter what, minimize the damage and try to bait out those hits early if possible. Nightmare is a gap clan, not a KO clan, so you cannot deny your opponent getting their shots in.
Thanks for the advice...it gave me a lot of thought on how to use them. I understand the benefits of having a half deck, but i like useing mono decks cause I enjoy getting a feel on how to use each clan and putting together a good deck, but is there anything that needs to be switched out, or buy to put on reserve?
Well kenny pan phyllis and nerfeniti are all life gap cards so it makes sence to include azel in your deck. poison + life gain + damage reduction works really well together, if you are determined to play mono then i would suggest using spiaghi as a splash to add more damage reduction.
