For many in Clint City growing old is barely noticed. Either their physical conditioning, medical staff, arcane rituals, or sheer stubborn will staves off the ravages of time.
But for the rest of the citizens of Clint City, when they are too fragile or senile for their children to tolerate, they are sent off to Sunyside Oaks Retirement Villa to fade silently into death.
However, with the accidental discovery of a fountain of youth in Sunnyside's backyard, this motley crew of Clint City's offcasts is ready to remind everyone that the city was THEIRS first...
The Waysiders do not introduce a new mechanic to Urban Rivals for their clan bonus, instead they bring a new concept. Each card has a different Bonus, rather than all sharing the same one. Activation of a bonus still requires 2 members of the clan in your draw of 4 of course.
Card artwork starts for everyone with an elderly, harmless, wasted individual, but progresses as they level up back to their youth.
Most card bonuses would reflect the clan that the member used to belong to in their prime, but some cards may be developed with bonuses that haven't been seen before. Either because that individual never belonged to any clan, or because they moved between clans over the course of their life.
Obviously some clans don't make sense to be represented in the Waysiders (Skeelz, Jungo, Vortex...)
Hard to think of a thematically appropriate bonus for now-young old folks. I suppose -2 Opp Power could be fitting (they splash you with the youth fountain water, making you fall back to before your prime or something).
