I tried the extremely top heavy 5/4/4/4/2/2/2/2 format as a dare from a friend. The only way to work it for me was to use a mono La Junta deck. I believe it's also very competitive, and with the weakest draw I won once and drew another one.
You say you were running this deck to get over 1300, but two of your last wins show you winning at 16 life, yet none of the cards in your preset allow you to gain life. How could you finish with over 14 Life, unless you were using a different build.

After losing the next one, i used a more cookie-cutter Uppers/Jungo. But the first 1300 was definitely with the preset above, i switched because i was running out of time to ELO.
