I think this is a great idea. What is the point of having great cards if u cant play them. Next one collo wood be even better with no star limit and no clan restrictions. maybe only the winner gets clintz and if u lose u dont get any. But u dont go to the negative side, you stay at zero till u win a fight. What do u think?....
Sure any player has chance to win, but if you're rich, good at ELO/DM and have strong CRs then you're likely to rank higher than new players who can't even assemble required cards.
Am I only one thinking Coliseum prizes are excessive in relation to total UR participation & frequency? It's almost each Coliseum rewards 1 week's worth ELO.
From rank 1 to rank 1: 100000
From rank 2 to rank 2: 50000
From rank 3 to rank 3: 25000
From rank 4 to rank 4: 10000
From rank 5 to rank 30: 5000
From rank 31 to rank 60: 2500
From rank 61 to rank 150: 1000
From rank 151 to rank 500: 800
From rank 501 to rank 1500: 300
From rank 1501 to rank 4000: 100
If rewarding CRs, no Big 5 rewards unless it's Super Coliseum @ Month's End
- I bet players would still join Coliseum with this prize list. And loafers who play 1 match would gain 100 Clintz instead of 2500 Clintz. And Winner receives another CR to add to his existing CR deck.
- Offering BIG Prizes now is redundant because it's not sustainable and when UR downgrades like Duel (they'll find an excuse) we'll all scream, "Prizes are too small!"
You know what? Coliseum prizes were too generous from the beginning so now we have complainers saying 1000 Clintz is too low. Jokes Man
This is a TERRIBLE Coliseum event, no one should participate in this. Here are my reasons why:
1.) Deck Format
"Your Deck must be in Coliseum format.
Your Deck cannot contain fewer than 8 characters.
The sum of the character levels in your Deck must not exceed 35.
Your Deck cannot contain any double characters."
The standard deck of 8 cards can consist of up to 40 stars. In this cases 35 which is 6 5 Stars and One 3 and 2 star card. A lot of players will have decks packed with "OHKO" and "Cr's". Like DJ Korr Cr, Jackie Cr, Kiki Cr, General Cr and other OP Cr's.
" From rank 61 to rank 150, the player(s) will receive Clintz : 5000.
From rank 151 to rank 500, the player(s) will receive Clintz : 2500.
From rank 501 to rank 1500, the player(s) will receive Clintz : 1000.
From rank 1501 to rank 4000, the player(s) will receive Clintz : 500."
These prices are pathetic, due to the terrible ranking system an average player will earn a 2500 clintz easily, and 500 just for loosing your first game 4000 ranks is ridiculous. Free 500 clintx anyone? Screw the lottery that probably never gives anyone a jackpot or even 500 clintz! Screw as well the duel mode prizes which consist of terrible common cards. Sure they are beneficial to new players but that's just a small percent of the UR population. Maybe duel mode prizes should vary among level. The old lottery system for winning Cr is vanished as well.
3.) Class System
The rich win Cr, the poor loose.
Dflamingo just shut up, you are never happy about any coliseum, all these coliseums so far have restricted cards and made it easier for everyone now is the chance for the rich players to use their good cards, what else are they gonna do with those cards? they cant use them in elo or tourney, so just shut up cos this games for everyone not just you, and your never happy anyway so just quit from the game instead of complaining all the time
You seem to be very ignorant, and not wanting any positive changes to the mode. As well as shifting the playing field, making it unfair to some players.
What I look in a game mode like this is an even playing field, it should be more about creativity and strategy than simple power.
If I were you I'd take this quote into consideration.
"Being powerful is like being a lady. If you have to tell people you are, you aren't."
1.) "all these coliseums so far have restricted cards and made it easier for everyone now is the chance for the rich players to use their good cards, what else are they gonna do with those cards?"
You seem to be asking me a a rhetorical question I hope, because everyone knows the answer to it. The answer is simple and does not need much clarification: Deathmatch and Survivor or private events.
P.S: If I were you I would go take a walk in a park, take a break because there is more to life than just UR. Even though I love UR . Second when you make a post/comment use proper spelling, it's really just sad to see you not able to spell my name when you can see it.
Before you make a generic statement like "they cant use them in elo or tourney, so just shut up cos this games for everyone not just you, and your never happy anyway so just quit from the game instead of complaining all the time" which is very vague and ambiguous, you should look at the past coliseum events, of the 4 I have played, 2 which I enjoyed very much!
@0 Doflamingo and 3MDeadly
With all due respect, I think you're both idiots in your own regard and should just shut up about the matter. That way we can all be happy.
Doflamingo: If you don't like the rules, don't play but never discourage others from playing unless you see something clearly wrong (Eg. Timeout giving 17 points but all normal wins 1). Quite the opposite, if people were encouraged to play we wouldn't have that many people getting lower prizes with a score of 0 at 0/50 fights. I admit the prizes are weak, but that's still better than if the top two took the whole.. 7 million 475 thousand clintz like some events play it out. And rich get richer is economics 101. Except the poor get richer too, since 500 clintz is more than -2000 from losing certain events.
3MDeadly: You make a good point, but you didn't bother checking the facts and you're just being an ***hole to the other person. At least be respectful in the public forums for your own sake.
I guess I'm an idiot in my world
No your right, I should I have worded what I said differently. I don't want to discourage anyone from playing in ANY of the events. It always fun and exciting. . As a matter of fact it should be encouraged that everyone tries it out. Personally when I wrote that I meant to say that I was not going to participate in this event.
I agree with everything you say above, but I feel like the ranking system needs some improvement. Based on my experience from last week there were a couple bugs in the system.
1.) If you win a game, it still +0, but it actually adds +3. (Not that big of a problem but sort of misleading).
2.) The main rank/score page updates consistently (accurate). When you search your name in the search bar, the score and rank it shows then is wrong. When you finish the coliseum 30/30 and it says your top 150, an hour or two later it can drop 100-200 ranks easily. Which personally I find frustrating.
This game mode overall is fun, I really enjoy the formats but sometimes I feel it should be more than just throwing together the strongest cards in your collection. It should be about creativity and testing your skills in strange situations. I don't mind this format, we definitely need some change from the norm.
In my opinion the prizes are too high for the top players, and too low for the players around 150.
Its somewhat hard for players to be in the top 150, and 5000clintz is nothing compared to the prizes of top 30 for example.
I think most competitive players, will play some games, and if they think they are not going extremely well to make top 30, they will just give up, instead of playing all 50 matches.
50 matches are a lot to play.
